Default Considering going from 5 to 8 chars, any opinions?

    Hey everyone!

I just finished leveling a MMMMP team and I'm considering adding 3 more characters to the group.
    I'm thinking x6M PP, or x7M P.

I'd level a group with a Warrior and a second Priest, so that I could potentially 'swap' to WMMMMMMP for UBRS or something.

Does anyone out there multibox on 8 characters? What are your experiences?

Thanks for any info in advance!

There are multiple people doing 8+ accounts. I think one person has touted the strength of mainly Warriors though I think Mages can make more sense for most. I think on the ISBoxer Discord one 8 boxer was talking about doing the harder part of some content with a buddy playing his main (so 9 total characters when stuff was really hard).

For your 8 accounts with only PMMMM so far it sounds like you are planning on doing something like the following for your 2nd team (which would make a lot of sense):

    12345678
    PMMMM
    ---PWMMM

I would definately include at least 1 Tank on your 2nd team and a Warrior likely makes the most sense (though a Druid or Paladin Tank could also work). The 2nd Priest can be good but you could also consider doing a different healer (Druid, Paladin, Shaman) with the advantage of the Druid and Paladin being able to use a single spec to either heal or tank.

Best of luck to you and very interested to see what you do with them at cap. I could see up to 6M2P or 7MP being helpful in some raid scenarios.

if you finished leveling, I would get now gear and gold first.

what are your goals with a 8 char team?
in classic there aren't this much things todo with a bigger team. (if I forgot something pls tell me.)

    ubrs
lbrs (farming greater fire protection potion and mage robe)
    ZG Trash Farming
    raiding
    Eko Farming
fishing with 8 charakters instead of 5
    Outdoor farming elites

I would add a tank, 2nd healer (paladin/shaman or druid) and a WL.
For UBRS Drakkisath you will need 2 more players to help you. All other bosses should be no problem with 8 charakters.

    Thanks for the insightful replies!

I took the plunge and went for it. The curiosity of running 8 characters got the better of me. My plan right now is to powerlevel this new 5-man team, then "mix and match" for PvE/PvP.
I'd like to farm ZG and AQ20 trash when it becomes available.
My guildmate runs a 10-man team, so we've been discussing running content together once I'm up and running. (Ony, maybe a PuG MC)

Thanks again for the replies! Cheers

Good luck to you (both). Having 18 between the two of you will be interesting.

If your buddy isn't already on the forums here please encourage your buddy to come and share info on progress. I suspect multiple folk would like to see any 10 man videos or what not.

EDIT: Curious why you decided on running 8 accounts instead of 10?

You can solo tank pretty much every fight but Hakkar in ZG. You wouldn't have any trouble farming the mount bosses either. The only fight that would be difficult would be Jin'do because you can only do her mechanic with the debuff'd characters.

I bring my 4 fire mages to ZG with my guild. It's pretty easy.

I think the best use of 8 toons is to farm retail for gold, to pay for wow tokens. But other than that it seems like a lot of extra work for little gain.

8 accounts is the ideal number for retail, with 2 4 man groups for farming, on one battlenet, but for classic, I'd think a full 10 man team would be better.
