Default Are most people using GSE these days?

I remember when people would post the macros and ISB sequences they use for rotations. I haven't seen that in several years. Is that because most people use GSE these days?

Obviously can't speak for most people but I have occasionally shared some macro snippets and ideas over the last year or so. But indeed would be nice to see more people posting their techniques. On the other hand, I'm playing Classic now, far less opportunity for clever rotations than in retail.

I use GSE macros for Outlaw, Fury, Beast Mastery, Prot Paladin, Prot Warrior - made my own for Ele Shaman.

I get them from Lazy Macros then change them to suit my taste as needed.

From what I've seen, GSE macros have very little control over the order in which spells are cast. I guess that means using a 'proper' rotation isn't really that important as long as you are spamming your skills constantly.

Hard to say what the actual numbers of would be in terms of percentage of ISBoxer users who also use GSE.

Personally I don't use it. I just don't feel like I have any use for it, having already taken the time to setup macros for each spell and having already built a bunch of perfectly functional rotations. It's a great tool and I can see the appeal of being able to grab someone else's config and get going rather fast with decent results, but I do like the fiddling around with ISBoxer part, so I'd be losing out on that.

For me I do not understand how to do it in ISboxer, it's easier for me to take a GSE macro and tweak it, or make one.

If I am playing all the same class then I just play normally.

I'm surprised ISB doesn't have an easier way for people to share rotations.

I do not use it, tried it before but just don't feel its for me. I use a mix of ingame and isBoxer macros.

To add to what others have said, I also do not use GSE, but if I needed a place to start with a class that I wasn't familiar with, or I was in need of some review material to see what others were doing—had I not been achieving the results I felt were worthwhile—then I would be tempted to look at some of those macros. Otherwise, I just build my rotations the exact same as I outline in my "Building a Rotation" ISBoxer video.

Any part of your profile can be shared, including the entire thing, but more often than not, peoples' profiles are tailored around their team(s), their characters' gear and stats, and their own particular playstyle. These factors usually result in "rotations" not integrating nicely into another profile, so, personally, I tend to find it's more useful to just teach people how to build their own.

Some of my team / classes have no major priority - only their Professions and 2k worldquest have interest - So GSE is a easy way, without spending much time getting something that works.
