    Default Hating your team

I just dinged 120 on a melee cleave team yesterday. RShaman, 2 warriors, 2 monks. Basically: I wanted some diversity and options for doing 2s and 3s arenas. I hate doing ranged arenas. I actually main healing in solo pvp, but multiboxing DKs in Cata was a lot of fun.

I hate this team, so much. I regret every minute wasted on this team. I guess it's nice having another set of characters to do emissaries on but it's so bad. Maybe I'll get them to an okayish ilvl and try some normal dungeons on them, but it's just miserable.

Has anyone else experienced this, and if so, what comp? I'm currently leveling a disc priest and 4 DKs. It's already 10x more enjoyable than this group has been to this point.

A lot of melee teams don't pan out too well. I had 4 DH's and a monk, and thought it would be amazing. The initial grind on dungeons up to 120 was great and their passive aoe damage was off the charts.

Boom hit 120 and tried a current dungeon, the mechanics just didn't play well at all with the situation and realized I couldn't push very far.
Still tried them for open world pvp. Had 2 horde sitting on top of a building. I couldn't reach them as they pew pew pew.
With ranged/caster, not a problem. Similar with a DK - just deathgrip and boom done.

If desprate and you have access to lvl 110s = order bulk lvl boost in the freehold 5man. The boosters usually demand around 8-10 k gold (?) per level you ding, if i recall. You just have to follow the booster and stand at like 3 different spots within exp range.
Last time i got help he pulled and killed all in 3 pulls, each run was around 5 min. Your results may vary. Got 1 lvl around every 30min in average. Netflix and getting levelled = yes dont mind if i do.

    ---------
    If you bother:
Remember to equip any heirloom, a cheap boe ring with a +5% exp gem in it....and....hmm..there was some long lasting exp potion you could buy from a vendor... for one of the newer currencies (the item is boa, so you can buy from main char on said account, then send it to your toon who is getting boosted).
    ------------

This way you could have a new team at lvl 120 up and running within a relative short time.

I already have two other teams at 120 and a team of DHs at 110 (Edit-lol it only took me 5 hours to go from 98-110 and I figured why not but I hate them too).

I have 4 other teams either in flight or on my to do list -- just trying to have some options in Shadowlands.
I think this one was just a bad decision.

Melee is fun for WQs and other world stuff. My 5 paladins are 4xret and one prot. They are invincible for anything open world.. but dungons are just too much work. They can cheese a lot of encounters due to all the utility/cooldowns, but still a lot of work on some bosses. too much work+no fun for me. The druids take a awhile to get to a DPS that is reasonable. They are dependent on traits and essences ( corruption helps a lot as well ). It is my favorite team, even when their DPS sucked. But the easy mode team is pal tank, resto sham and 3xBMs. Im not sure there is any other team that is so easy to get anything done with.

I recently got my druids to 415ish passively. You're right. They're very dependent upon traits and essences. They've gotten a lot more fun recently and I was thinking of putting some time in them. Given that it's a 4x mythic dungeon week and I got some very good keys this week, I'll probably focus on my trinity team comp. I'm thinking of swapping out my paladin healer for a druid and maybe trying 4x guardian and a resto. I think I'm gonna take a week off the leveling train.

I am glad to hear you've had similar experiences with your druid team. 5x paladin doesn't really interest me all that much. That being said I have a warlock and mage trinity teams that I'm going to run paladin/warrior with, so I'll be at 4x paladin, maybe one day... I already know mage/warlock probably aren't great ideas, but I main the lock class solo and have like 5 locks between 100-120 that are solo characters.

My trip up teams is, and has been for 2 expansions, a trinity comp with hunters. I leveled it in both expansions thinking it would be fun because they generally do well. And indeed they do, but I just found it dull. Didn't help that I I chose a guardian druid tank, which I also found dull beyond belief.

Other than that I've not really had much issues... Some hit and miss class choises for mixed teams, but nothing that swapping 1-2 toons would not have solved.

Im focusing on level all my teams to 120 now that exp is crazy fast! I am hoping for ele shams to be bad ass again.. Im sure BM hunters will always be awesome for us due to dps at range and on the move.!

What's so good about a resto shaman for healing? I see a lot of people call it a go to, but feel like I'm missing the appeal.
