Thread: 4 DH or 4 DK?

    Default 4 DH or 4 DK?

    So been going non stop on my trinity (War/Dru/BMX3) - ready for a little change just to break the monotony and been wanting to do a melee team with a class I haven't run...So since i have't done either DK or DH, what do you guys recommend will allow me to do some m+/heroics and other end game stuff more efficiently and easier?

    I have 5X120 Boosts
    1 Resto Shaman or MW Monk and:
    4 Havoc DH
    or
    4 Frost DK
    or
    4 Unholy DK

    Or I might consider 2X2. Like 2 DH and 2 FDK, or whatever combo... would rather do all same sub but if it will give me a significant advantage to do multiple subs I will. I just know literally nothing about the 2 classes so asking here. Only interested in DK and DH just FYI. Have plans for a Warrior team later. Also, if 4 DH is the decision, probably shouldnt use my 120 boosts on them since they start at 98, right?

    I will be setting up pretty elaborate single target and AOE macros, as I have for my other toons, once i figure out the rotation that will use most of their abilities, so will primarily just be spamming those.

    There’s a weird restriction with DH where you can’t make them all at once. So in any case I would at least make them at the character select screen so if you don’t want to play them your able to down the road. It sometimes takes 24 hours to make them all.

    with a Melee team you want a MW monk.

    I am just curious, I am also looking at a melee team, probably 4 death knights, but I do have 4 demon hunters created. Why not a holy paladin instead of a monk or is monk just overall better for boxing a healer, never did monk healing before.

    So you think DH's over DK's?

    Holy Paladin is actually just as good of an option as monk, maybe even better especially with bubble. Their Glimmer build is going to be baseline in the new expansion as well. So having a melee Holy Paladin will be the norm.

    DH vs DK... that's a toughie. I think they are both viable - the DK's you get a ton of Grips, if you ever plan on doing PvP that's a crucial ability.

    Never done PvP, never will. Just not for me.

    Thanks for the reply. I think im going to give pally a try with 4 dks. I feel more solid with the dks and the b rez's are nice.

    WUT! its hard to find the armor with the traits for glimmer right now! that will be nice
