Default BEHOLD - 5 Box setup, on one Comp. What parts do I need to run each aplication of wow at MAX settings?

So yeah what parts do I need to run a 5 box setup on one comp so that each application of wow can be ran at max settings with at least 60 fps,

I also plan to figure out how to rig up 5 Monitors for one comp.

Spend limit is like 5k but I understand if it goes over.

I origanly only wanted to spend 2k or so but now that I recently heard a song i want to...

    PUSH IT TO THE LIMIT!!!

Thats a pretty hardcore goal but I would love to see someone pull it off. What resolution per client?

With 5k you can buy 1 kick ass machine for about 2k for your main and 4 other computers for you alts :P

If you really set on having one machine you could use a tri-sli board with 3 x 9800GTX (or even a lesser GPU), however since these boards are made for SLI and generally for playing one high-end game at the time (such as crysis) not sure what kind of issues you may run into running them independently, if any. I think the tri-sli MB is the only way you would be able to hook-up 5 monitors.

If you go the one computer route let us know how it goes.

Personally I would purchase 1 fairly decent computer and 2 average computers. For 5K you could easily pull it off. Have 3(or 4) monitors, 2 party members on each side computer with its own monitor and ofcause your main on the centre monitor. You could put a second monitor on your main PC for browsing / DVD's and such.

While a tri-SLI system would be "nice" its not really suitable for WoW as WoW does not support SLI and if you are using it in SLI mode then you only have a single display. You can't use multiple displays when you are running in SLI mode. But if you are not in SLI mode then you have 6 display outputs available for use. Assuming you have 2 heads per graphics card.

Five k is more than enough to go for either option.

60 fps on 5 clients in Shat during prime time is a pipe dream right now. Get 3 or 5 machines if you want that. Otherwise, prepare for trade offs.

    Forget it in Shat.

I can run 5 instances at close to max settings in lagfree environments (instances) with the following set up.

    core2quad 2.4Ghz
    4Gb ddr3
    EN8800 ultra 768Mb

But it will foil bigtime in crowdy areas/shatt.

I don't really think shatt is a graphic card problem, but a memory problem. Correct me if I am wrong. I think my graphic card is able to handle the load of 5x wow at max setting. Maybe..

    I have a FX60 dual core OC to 3.2GHz
    2 Raptors in RAID 0
    3 GB RAM
    8800GTX 512MB

A single client will run ~60-70 FPS in almost every situation. I start a 2nd client, I drop to ~40. This is on a 22" monitor. Since 2.4 released, my fps is worse.
