It just means you have the potencial to do more things /get more stuff at the same time, when you have 10, vs 5.
Also, if skilled, you can defeat harder raid content (using 10 + characters).

Do note that this doesnt mean that someone playing 10 will automatically earn a lot more than someone who plays 5 and is more knowledgeable. *Note that if you already love herbing with 5 and master that, you can play with 10 and loot on all, as a herb node despawns after 10 players have tagged it.

You can also earn a lot more as a solo player, if you are a clever gold goblin, vs someone that 5, even 10 box or more.

So... if you learn how the game works well, as a solo player, THEN f.ex x 10 that ability = im sure you can see the potensial here.

Besides the gold making aspect, there is much fun to be had playing multiple characters, creating your own "dream / fantasy team", getting cool transmogs, mounts etc. If you dont plan to persue "soloing" hard raid content, playing with max 5 makes sense (you can then also queue alone using the dungeon finder tool, which is practical, dont have to worry about getting 2 random people in your spesific or random dungeon/event).

Case in point... i have 1 rogue, its the only melee class i have outside the tanks, in my big raid, but he doesnt run into battle a lot, as he is just casually tagging along mainly "pistol whipping" and he gets every rogue item that drops... he is mainly there for the look and fun, dont care about his dps. Im sure he loves all that exclusive transmogs and getting decked out in epic loots: /he is living the dream hehe

Remember that you can only have 8 accounts within 1 battlenet account.. so if you decide to play 10, you will need to create another second battlenet account.. (where you also need to get all the items on aswell... mounts, transmogs, pets, pathfinder etc.. this can become very timeconsuming). This is why, if you ever plan to maybe later play more than 8 (say 20) to start playing with multiple battlenet accounts from the start (you need 3 if so, 3 x 8 = max 24), so you already have flying etc ready to go.
