Default Grinding XP Instance at 67?

    High all,

Looking for a difference Instance than Underbog to Grind some xp. Mana tombs, Crypts, and Sethekk are a pain to complete with my 5man. Any suggestions on another instance? Why do you like the instance (loot, easy for multibox, etc).

    5man team is
    70 Druid tank
    70 Mage
    67 Shaman Elemental x2
    67 Shaman Restro

For XP I'd suggest quests. I was doing instance grinding before but after doing some quests I was getting way more XP. With instances I was getting around 60-80k xp/h. With quests this went up to around 120k xp/h and they're way easier while boxing. I liked instance grinding when I was doing something else in the background like browsing/watching movies but from XP standpoint questing seems to win though. James leveling guide was also pretty good help.. either that or I'd look up stuff on wowhead.

In mana tombs i get 150k an hour and sethekk close to 200k an hour so I don't know what instances you're grinding. @67 you could try Durnholde, Slave Pens, Sethekk, Mana Tombs...

Thanks guys... I'll just finished Old hillsbrad and went pretty well. Dont think i can grind it to easy though. Questing to 68-69 is sounding pretty good right now. Still have a quite a few quest blues that i need. Then Sethekk since i need to get my lower city rep up.

You have my exact group make up. I still have all my shaman speced elemental. My mage is speced Ice. You will have trouble with multiple mobs with the druid. Its not so bad on trash but when you have bosses that spawn adds its a bitch. I transfered my 70 pally over and have him tanking now. The druid is good for most stuff but the pally really helps with multiple mobs. He also takes less magic damage than the druid. My druid has around 33k armor almost 50% dodge with agi totem and magic owns him hard. Physical damage my druid is a god but many bosses use magic. I wonder if I need to spec a shaman rest. I have much more grinding ahead so its going to be a learn as I go deal. I sorta wish I did 5 shaman so I can just dps stuff down instead of trying to tank/heal like normal.

Yeah Druids are not the greatest on getting aggro on multi mobs. Boss fights with adds get ugly sometimes I get 1 lacerate and roar on each mob and it will hold aggro pretty well for a few heals or more. I'm sure Pally would make things easier but already had the 70 druid. Maybe i will lvl a Pally after i see how my druid does in the heroics. I had my mage spec ice too until recently. Went fire for a little more dps. I had my Shamans all elemental up until a lvl or 2 ago. 1 elemental shaman was having trouble keeping up with the heals. Started losing DPS when a second shaman had to assist with heals. Endurance boss fights would get ugly too. Casting Earth Shield on druid provides a nice little heal bonus

Have you started looking ahead to your L70 gear yet? If not then I recommend doing so - you can build out a nice starter set for most classes easily now with the blue PvP set mixed up with some reputation / crafted / quest items. So figure out what quests you can do or what rep you need -- at least honored with 5 factions to buy the PvP starter set -- and get your XP by working on that stuff.

I went with the rep-grind approach with exp as a byproduct. My goal was to hit honored or higher with the major reps (which happened to coincide nicely with the pvp gear moving to rep vendors).

For instances that I couldn't clear but could kill a boss or two (mana tombs comes to mind at that level) - I would just run in and kill as much as I could then reset.

Escape from Durnholde - i found my best exp/rep per hour to be to kill up through the second boss but before you take off to tarren mills. Seemed like this was yielding about 700-800 rep and a nice little chunk of exp for about 30-45minutes of clearing.

Mana Tombs - first room + boss and reset yielded a good amount of shards and some nice exp/rep, started doing the first two shortly after.

Sethekk Halls - grind to first boss, blow all cooldowns etc to burn him down fast and reset.

Blood furnace was pretty easy for me after i over-leveled and out geared it, nice quick runs for decently good xp/rep an hour.

I'd say keep up the practice on Hillsbrad.... a few runs and you'll have it licked... I wiped a few times at 67 with a 70 warrior tank, but after about 4 runs I had it sorted and it became a breeze. Clean no wipe clears in around 45 mins, with decent loot and nice rep...

Keep up the practice, learn the patrols and spawn points and it becomes easy.
