Default How to run two clients with different login credentials?

    Problem:

    I run first client.
    I run second client.
I get the disconnect with reason "already logged in".

So I have to log out in first client and login manually to another account.

    Need:

Login to both clients automatically (without using multiboxing software).

    Questions:

    1. May be there are some .bat files to do this?
    2. May be some command line options or .wtf file settings which may help?
    3. Any other semi-easy way like run and send several keystrokes?
    4. If double login is impossible, how to run one client with login and second client without the try to login?

You cant play two characters from the same login at the same time. They can be the same battle.net, but must be different accounts.

I'm a little confused... You are the author of multiboxing software that you've shared on this site, but you're unaware of the fact you cannot log into the same account more than once?

To be clear, you're looking for a program to automate the login process?
Do not send me a PM if what you want to talk about isn't absolutely private.

I am confused as well. The header (!) contains the words "with different login credentials". The body has words "login manually to another account". Isn't it clearly describes the situation?

To be clear, you're looking for a program to automate the login process?
    Exactly.

Now we're all confused. The original issue you describe does not exist in WoW if both clients use different logins. There would be no disconnect for "already logged in".

But in any case if its just at home I would use the logitech/razor keyboard software to record a macro. Not sure how to go about that if you're releasing it with your software.

Process Explorer is your friend. Run the client from the launcher then check the command line for the WoW.exe (WowClassic.exe) process. It looks like the launcher uses a command line of "C:\Games\World of Warcraft\_classic_\WowClassic.exe" -launcherlogin -uid wow_classic in my case. I am guessing it is using a memory map or IPC to transfer a login token to the client. Not easily replicated.

Im pretty sure that having a software that automatically presses the "enter world" button will be considered botting.... also, its a bad idea to have pre-filled both account name and password... as that could easily breech your privacy and also lead to getting "hacked".

While its entirely possible to do all of that you want, there are available software for it, i wouldnt dare use it while running wow: "3rd party programs usage.. getting banned... all that jazz "

No, because no WoW client is launched yet.

No, because account name is enough.

there are available software for it
I know; I want to find direct and clear way, like command line batch file.

That's the question - how to use these different logins!

When you run client from launcher, client is started already logged. If you run second client, it is also starting as logged and fails.

When you run client as wow.exe, client is started without any credentials.

So there is a way how launcher provides credentials to client. I just want to find that way.

using the desktop app to launch the game, you have to wait for the first client to be logged to the character screen before you press play for the second account.

If you press play on WoW1 and then change to WoW2 and press play before WoW1 is at the character screen, the clients will actually try to log into WoW1 twice.

Keyclone behaves the way you're describing.

I think the key is not to load the launcher (or at most to load the launcher 1 time), but just load the client (wow.exe or wowclassic.exe) then pass it the settings you want applied.

I have no idea how keyclone passes these settings (including username and Wow account name), but it does. So after you set it up and launch keyclone you have 5 screens all a the WoW logon screen with your account name already entered and the correct WoW account name selected on each screen - so you just have to enter your password.

*edit - yes, I just checked and keyclone solves this by never loading the launcher at all. It just loads the client.
**edit - is it just a matter of loading 2 different WTF files? https://www.reddit.com/r/woweconomy/...e_wow_clients/
