I had no motivational issues in the 1-70 game. That really is the best part of WoW anyway. I would just quest and try to hit every dungeon possible (and do its quests) at least once. It was great fun. I am however at the point of a burnout now that I have been running heroics for a good long while. It just gets old after awhile running the same dungeons over and over everyday because you still need a rare item or two from them and it is the best item for the slot obtainable in 5 man.

Strange, 45 is when I started to finally enjoy the game. Up until then it was mind numbing boredom, I absolutely hate levels 1-39.

But Questhelper sured helped alot, sadly I didn't get that mod until about level 40ish, would've definitely made 1-39 more fun.

I know alot of people here run a "Tank/4Shaman" setup, but I could never do that. I know it sounds like you'd be able to do more, but I think you're just slowing yourself down. When you have 5 toons, all dedicated to producing the MOST DPS you can muster up, not only do bosses die, and xp flow, but it's fun as hell. I love playing this way.

I'm sure "Slow and stead wins the race", but so far "5 Shaman sprinting full speed wins the race" too.

I had fun at your level because it was 46 when I switched from care bearing (with a warrior) to running 5x Shamans, all at 46. I stopped focusing on how fast I was leveling, and started to enjoy all the old instances I hadn't been in for a long time. Next thing I knew, I was 58, and headed to outland where the REAL fun begins.

Hang in there. The rewards at the end of this race are simply fantastic, and worth every wipe it takes you to get there.

I did the same thing. If you need, take a day off, go do something else more fun for a while. Then, start questing. Check out zone guides for where to go, and download metamap (or some other coordinates / map mod) quest helper, and if you want, quest announcer.

I went from about 44-55 with quests, and it's quite fun actually. More fun that power leveling with a pally (I did it from 8-42)

I sometimes just play Team-Fortress 2 to break it up. Also want to finish Bioshock... eventually... along with Halflife 2 Episode 2, and whatever came in the orange box.. Portals.

I play Oblivion, TF2, and Smash Bros Brawl/Metroid Prime 3 in addition to trolling a few forums and still solo my main boomkin a bit to keep things fresh ;p I'm also an altaholic and have rolled the zerglings in my sig, 3 paladins who're sitting at goldshire inn at lv5(lol) and have just rolled my third Shaman(Diablothree) and have been speed-lvling through quests with my main, once he's 42 I'll let him rejoin his brothers Diabloone and Diablotoo who've been collecting dust at lv41.80 with full rested exp since I moved focus to my boomkins :p

I'm also going to get Mario Kart Wii after work(With tradeins of shitty games like Heroes of Mana that I regret ever buying) and probably spend most of the rest of today playing it ;p

I have 6 70s, innumerable alts, and a couple of boxes (I just started boxing last week). I get bored very easily (which is why I'm so excited, at the moment, about boxing). So, here is what I do... Take it for what it's worth:

    1. Think carefully about your alt strategy. Create alts that are able to complement and help each other. Doing this enables you to play XX when playing YY gets boring and still be of help to YY. For example, suppose YY needs a glove enchant and XX has the enchant but not the mats. Hop on XX, farm for the mats, chant XX's gloves, and get back to YY now that s/he has the chant.

Getting armor for your team(s) is challenging. When appropriate, hop on your crafter and get the mats for those armor peices your team members will need.

    2. When boxing, do not do collection quests. Allow your team to accumulate restXP then take each member out on the collection quest. Your team will generate XP much faster this way.

3: Experiment with key-bindings, macros, and tactics. I've found that certain fights require different keyboard layouts, casting sequences, etc.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that if your WoW play can be integrated with one or more overiding objectives, I think you'll be less subject to boredom.

Still, we all have this problem and variety is the spice of life...

    Good luck,

try parking the pally and going out and questing. I power leveled my 4 shamen with a warrior and stopped running instances with them. I am blowing through quests like a mad man. It is really fun blowing stuff up. I killed a level 60 warlock the other day that was fun. Questing has allowed me to keep the exact same gear on all of my toons which blows peoples minds.

I find that it is fun to go into Org and put a little show on with all your totems. I received my first tip the other day.

Basically I wouldn't worry about trying to race to 70 just take your time and enjoy it.

I am level 53 btw having a ball.

Go run a pug or two. That always works for me. :cursing:
I'm finally in Outlands now (lvl 62) and am having a blast with so many things to do. Cleared Ramparts, Blood Furnace, and Slave Pens so far.
