    Default Quest-based Hyperspawn

Hey all, I discovered an unlimited and repeatable quest-based hyperspawn.

    The quest involved is https://classic.wowhead.com/quest=4971/a-matter-of-time

Anyone with the quest receives an item that summons a number of 55+ mobs at certain glowing grain silos. Multiple people with the quest can use the item at the same time, batching the summon and receiving multiple spawns.

The number of mobs that can be spawned is only limited by the number of people with the quest. The cooldown on the item is 1 minute, and the silos refresh quick enough that the item can be used every minute.

I have 5 accounts, I was using 4 mages with the quest + a level 48 priest outside the group. Tagging the mobs with the priest then nuking them down instantly with the mages resulted in 342 XP per mob. With 4 characters, I was averaging about 15 mobs per use of the item for a total of 5,130 XP. The hypothetical XP/hr in this scenario is 307k/hr.

My problem: tagging the mobs is difficult with a lowbie. Even at level 49 my priest is struggling to tag the mobs with holy nova. I experimented with engineering to no avail, they resist all the bombs I've tested so far up to Mithril Frag Bomb.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to tag mobs efficiently with a lowbie? The XP potential here is only limited by how many characters you have available to use the item.

I've tried pairing the lowbie with a single mage to tag but it brings the XP down significantly. This XP loss could be mitigated by using more characters, but unfortunately I only have 5 accounts.

Theoretically 100 characters could summon ~370 mobs every minute... that would be enough to level someone from 1-60 in a matter of hours even with a 60 in their group helping to tag.

That quest actually already on row 39 of the 'Hyperspawn' tab of the 'Classic WoW Planning' spreadsheet and was discussed on the HyperSpawn thread.

A Paladin Consecrating in the boosted group should be nice as, even though the group may resist ticks, since it is AoE over time each tick should have a chance for each mob. Rain of Fire or Blizzard could maybe also help as they are AoEs with many ticks...

Please try the Oil of Immolation and report back.

You can also try the 'Fiery Blaze Enchant' to see if you get any resists when it procs.

Maybe there is another quest item that can be used to AoE tag that doesn't get resisted (I can't think of any offhand to try besides the Fiery Blaze but maybe others can).

If you do find something that consistently works and isn't resisted (or that has enough AoE ticks to get a good amount of mobs tagged even with resists) please report back as this is a common need for multiple people.

On the Hyperspawns tab (see link in post above) there is a discussion for levels 50-56 inside BRD is a quest which summons 6 mobs over and over (Horde only).
