Farming UBRS

I'm running WMMMPal. I've been able to farm everything in the 5 man range pretty well. Ramstein still shits on my face but he at least always dies.

My mages are all fire so I'm trying to farm the rings from the first boss in UBRS. I feel like he wouldn't be hard except the first thing that happens with I try to release him is my entire party gets banished and killed 1 by 1. I've never encountered this issue when I run with my guild. How do you deal with it? The mages largely have full pre-BiS.

I'd say that about 5ish seconds after the warlocks stop channeling my whole party is banished. My first thought was I just don't have the DPS. Do they need to be tagged so they don't cast banish? I'm pretty out of ideas. I've been banging my head against this all day.

They just cast it randomly. What I do is when I see them activate, I rush into 1 of the corners of the boss platform/ramp and get tightly in there so they all run in because of LoS. Then I AoE them down before they banish me.

The banish effect is cancelled the moment the mob takes damage. Simply throw down a Flamestrike, stand inside and arcane explosion the rest.

Good to know. I haven't tried again yet but maybe I can respec for pom flamestrike or some such. In the attempts I made I was never even able to get a cast off before all of my mages were banished.
