Unhappy Non-master windows huge FPS drops on flamestrike

    Hello guys.

I'm facing the problem, when I cast flamestrike, FPS on my non-master windows dying at all, I guess the problem is not my PC, because I have really decent one and playing on lowest graphic settings.

Feels like something limits non-master window when load too high (like flamestrike casting), but where can I turn it off or make load balance for this?

Because I end up skipping Arcane Explosions casts during this lag, also priest can't shield or heal anyone during lag and I can't even sit drink on the alts while ground from flamestrike persists. I endup dying sometimes because of this, it was the same when I was playing MMMMP, but there were too much dmg, so I was ignoring it.

Here is the video, so you can see and it is not even worst example, sometimes fps dying harder and longer.

Please help! Mb if there is no way to load balance it, is there way to turn off flamestrike animation or change it?

    Thanks.

"Projected textures" and "particle density" I think are the specific settings that influence spell animations. Also any anti-aliasing can have a massive effect on FPS, even in Classic.

Don't forget that some addons are reading the combat log - those are CPU bound, unaffected by low graphical settings - so could really slow down your PC when there is lots of damage because they are doing the same calculations for each of the 5 windows.

Be careful when turning off projected textures or lowering particle density too far. These are the effects that are used to display all ground targeted spell effects so you may find certain mechanics are killing you because you can't see puddles on the ground clearly.

There is a nice addon for that: GTFO makes a sound when you stand in fire, and also hooks to Weakauras so you can report it from slave toons.

can't remembmer that much ground effects in classic, the only i remembered is shit from ghouls in scholo and traps in dm:e, mb there is more idk im not even sure this two are ground effects (projected), mb not

If I'm right, you're running full FPS in your dxNothing/slave windows? That'll hammer things pretty good all by itself. I'd also make sure you're making good use of a slot swap macro.
    Now playing: WoW (Garona)
