I have 2 high level hunters. IMO expose weakness is a raider talent. It's nice to have in 5-mans, but most of the rest of the talents to get there are pretty situational for a variety of combat situations. If you are treating your hunter like a portable cannon then I doubt that you will be using them. MM is a good spec, and is simply a direct DPS comparison with BM, but I don't think that the prior analysis is correct (regarding TSA vs. FI) because you get a lot more DPS out of MM than just TSA. If it were me I'd try 1 MM and 3 BM. You might also try getting imp hunter's mark with your MM hunter to increase pet DPS, but I'm not convinced that is really worth it over efficiency. Efficiency is for long boss fights, and if you're not running out of mana then you don't need it.

If you post your specs I'll give an opinion on them.
i think what he means with the TSA vs FI was simply comparing the group contribution of both specs.

I.e. the group contribution of BM is each hunter stacks a FI, (for a total of 12% dmg) whereas a single MM hunter will give an extra TSA instead of a FI

(so you get 9% from FI, and whatever AP from TSA)

Not really sure which of the 2 specs offers more dps... since i don't have a high level hunter.

Good questions though.

I have another (related) question as far as focus-boosting talents for a BM spec. Do you want as much focus from talents as possible? (i.e. 2/2 bestial discipline and 2/2 go for the throat) or is that overkill?
