Default 70 Warlock SM (Armory) Run Through.

Ok, so in this video, I am showing a quick run through of SM (Armory) with my 70 Warlock.

Nothing fancy, just a quick job to add to my Guide.

Here you will see me doing a lot of random running around, but thats just me jumping around/alt tabbing for the next mob to dot and run.
The order I run in is not really set in stone, but it seems to work. I will run back to certain points with no mobs like 2 or 3 times, thats just an old habit of having toons with me.

Quality is... well, not the greatest, I am working on how to get better quality with Vegas... It gives me massive files with default, then when I change it, I get crap...

Lol, I don't think I would live if I did that, my pet would probably piss something off and take like half the Dungeon on and get himself killed, then I would follow in his footsteps...

I sort of already tried that, and it's one of those "If I miss a Siphon life, I'm dead" So it's not worth the risk.

Yeah, I've run the place a few times on my 70 lock (though not after getting the gear I have now) and I generally limit my pulls to around 30 mobs so that I'll be ready for the second round of siphon life when the first runs out (damn those healers making me do more than one round, or actually I don't remember how much hp these mobs have, it's been a while).

And at the time I was running a 43/18/0 build with a passive imp out. Love tanking 30 mobs and staying at full hp and mana, siphon life and life tap ftw.

Wait.... with a 43/18/0 how did you stay alive? I mean, when I piss off enough mobs without SL, I get pretty close to dying, and it's like 15 mobs after me.

Worst part is the healers, I just keep running and my pet will stay and attack while I run off tagging the next set up of mobs, than *Poof*, pet is gone (You just got a soul shard) and than me "Ah shite, i'm boned"

One word (or two i guess) siphon life. On all of them, with high spelldmg (think i had around 600-700 when i hit lvl 70). Getting healed for 250 every 3 secs (or i guess it was 200 per tick back then) times 30 tends to keep my hp up as long as I keep recasting every second. Tab is your friend. My imp was just there to give me a higher max hp (and later I've started using dark pact more too) and I'm sure I could have done it without him too. Healers are annoying cause they heal the other mobs, so I usually put a corruption on them in addition to the siphon life when I see them so they drop before they get too many heals off.

Note that I prefer running cathedral, though that doesn't make much of a difference I guess.
Have had some fun pulling much or all of the final building at the same time Or at least having the rest add while I'm killing the first half of the room.

Maybe I am doing something wrong. I mean, I get Cath done in under 12 mins, more like 11 to 10 minutes. But, I have around 1100+ spelldamage. I of course use Siphon Life on all targets, and Curse of Agony. Only reason I stop is to heal pet and then I keep moving. I have lost my pet before and I was like WTFPWN, of course, I had half half and I was at the boss and I did not finish clearing the rest of the mobs, so I had him and the other 20+ people running at me. I was not able to tab/siphon/COA fast enough before they killed me, or if I did manage to live (has happen a few times) I had like no HP and Mana left.

I'm not trying to argue with you, just trying to see if I am doing somethings wrong with my runs. Or if I should considere a better spec for my runs. (Anything to make it faster or more efficient)

When I do a normal run, I would have about 80 80 by the time I am done and my pet half to full. Thats about 11 Minutes.

Yeah, I'm not trying to argue either, just giving more details about how I did it.

Currently I'm changing my gear and spec around a bit to do better dmg in raids, so atm my spec is 41/0/20 with over 1200 spelldmg.
Relying on pure DoT+drain life dps just didn't cut it anymore when I started being compared to T5/T6 raiders.
So I changed my spec from the 43/18/0 i had and started doing stadowbolts instead of drain life between dot casts (this is for raid dps btw, the SM runs are still all about siphon life etc if I ever do them).
I was 41/10/10 for a while, but am gearing more toward crit now so I may eventually go destro if I get good enough gear for it, but until then I'm still deep affliction, Unstable Affliction is still too much fun in PvP to give up just yet

Anyway, back to SM. I would not have any problems staying alive as long as I kept 20-30 siphon life up at all times, refreshing them as they ran out/got low, and as mentioned could lifetap enough to keep my mana full even with all the dot casts, and still keep relatively full hp.

Aside from the Siphon life that you keep up on mobs, do you not dot with anything else (Aside from what you said, be as Curr or COA, on the healers)
So, that means, you have to dot the same mob more than once? Because I don't think SL kills mobs in SM Armory/Cath, least not the last time I checked it didn't.

Have to reapply some sometimes yes, doesn't matter to me, I wasn't running for speed, I was just enjoying being a clothie tanking a ton of mobs. Basically just focus on keeping enough siphons up to keep me more than topped off at all times, while at the same time draining all my mobs down. No idea how long it took, though I think it wasn't exactly slow.
