    Default ZF questions

My WMMLP team has been having some difficulty since the EoK nerf. They are all more or less in the same gear from SM. They are now at 46 and 47. Been running zf since 45 but not doing aoe.

Is it normal to not be aoe ZF at this level? b/c it seems to kick my ass to pull more than 5 and even then its a 50/50 if i make it

at what number of mobs is it worth aoe'ing instead of st? 3?

I have a 60 rogue i can swap in instead of a mage. If im just st'ing, is it worth just having him join and just tap level the other mage later on? It would feel a bit gross to have a 60 rogue with level 44-47 mobs when 48 is right there haha

Any insight on how to go about leveling from here would be appreciated

ZF seems to be a semi brick wall for most comps at entry levels. We come out of SM being able to pull packs of 10ish and are used to mass AoEing, so not being able to do it in ZF feels bad. BUT you just have to take your time and do one small pack at a time, use some sort of snare for runners.. CC when you need to etc. Its more of a mental thing really, as it does get easier the closer to 50 you get. I think it was 48-49 when i was starting to pull a few packs, but i mostly just did one pack and burned it all down fast to be safe. When i got to GY each run I was able to open lots of graves and farm the staff from the boss there. It all started to go by fast by then.

Also, to break things up i made sure to get all the ZF quests and also went to Uldaman and did quests for that. 45-50 is a slow run for most.

oh..and gear matters. Buy the best greens you can afford for your whole team.. and cheap blues/epics if you can find any. Just make sure you at least get as many upgrades for your whole team as you can afford...tank first then casters..of the eagle stuff is great for survivability and mana pool.

I can safely say it was mental. I went in there with a non-SM mindset. Started with 3-4 pack aoe and built it up from there. The team is 47/48 now and im consistently getting 35kexp/hr. I know most can do way more with this team, but I never thought i'd be able to do that consistently haha. Thanks for all the tips everyone =]

    I agree with Lyonheart.

I was able to pull 2 packs (5-6 mobs) and AOE them at level 48. It gets easier after level 48, but you have to still watch out for the shadowhunters that can cast hex on you. Dont pull too many of those fellows otherwise it may end in a wipe.
Also remember to get AE upgrade at level 46, it helps a lot!

Can you not mount through to zombies at that level?

I just finished with ZG on my MMMMP group and here's how I did it. I would only pull about 2 groups max. The only mobs you have to worry about silencing are the Shadowcasters, the Blooddrinkers and Witchdoctors will pull like normal. Utilize LoS when necessary but you shouldn't need to very much. Also, be ready to move your group when the WD's drop their lava spout totems, the AoE damage can stack pretty quickly from them. And finally, when you get to the GY, open about 4-5 graves at a time, try and count how many zombies you get and stop when you see 5-6 zombies. Slow and steady wins the race.

I was pulling 2 packs by the time I got to 45ish. I would go from the beginning of the instance to clearing through to the graveyard. The graveyard I was pulling 5-10 mobs. The trick is to LoS/interrupt shadowcasters to clump them up. Blood drinkers hit hard and have a bit of HP which can be hard to deal with undergeared. Witchdoctors have healing totems that you should deal with, but are otherwise easy to deal with. The Shadowhunters have ranged attacks and a hex. I don't recommend pulling more than 1 or 2 Shadowhunters if at all possible. A bad hex might wipe you, a second hex will result in at least one dead character.

Once you get to graveyard, life is quick and simple. I cleared the stair event once or twice. It was more efficient for me to just clear the GY, leave and reset. The gear from the graveyard boss should be the only pieces you really need.

ZF (for me) was actually some of the fastest leveling yet. I found it easier/faster than Cath. I'm just now getting BRD arena clears down quickly. It competes but there's just so much more XP needed at this point.
