That’s because believe it or not a good few of the high end teams were using /follow And /assist rather similar as to what we do, but the /follow was more of you where trying to help your team mate who was pillar humping and you didn’t know exactly where he was the follow would make you run in his general direction, but it never got used for much more than that. There was a pvp add on for a very very short time called “go find me” or something like that just for the purpose, but once you knew the direction they where it didn’t matter if it broke for combat. So, meh blizz gave them back follow and kept the combat break in place.
I quit in Cata before the great follow break of Pandaria.
I came back to Classic knowing PvP was not going to be feasible or fun. World PvP and leveling on a PvP server could be fun if I had the time for it. I don't. My approach has changed and it's unfortunate. I think there's more challenge and fun in PvP, but Classic 5 man content is something that's absolutely accomplishable in multiboxing, which is what I wanted to explore. I suspect in a few weeks after I gear up in 5 mans I'll migrate off Classic again.
It is unfortunate to hear that wPvP is so fruitless compared to just running AV for Honor.
