Default ISBoxer using Intel GPU instead of Nvidia after patch

    It's a known problem, https://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/wo...10-2019/385483

With the workaround, manually selecting GPU in WOW setting worked when launching normally without Innerspace.
But when launched through Innerspace, it's still using the Intel GPU even though in the WOW settings it's manually set to Nvidia. HWMonitor showing Intel GPU at 99% and Nvidia at 0%.

Is there a way to manually set it Nvidia GPU in ISBoxer/Innerspace ? Thanks.

Your system basically has 2 different "\\.\DISPLAY#" names for the same real display, with one of the names controlling the Intel GPU and one controlling the NVIDIA GPU. Pick the right one to win! Also, the right name may change later, when you update Windows, update drivers, attach/remove monitors, and so on.

ISBoxer handles this as part of your Window Layout. There are hidden settings built into your Window Layout that control what monitors are shown when you look at the Window Layout in ISBoxer, and the GPU in use for each window will be tied to the monitor its Home Region is in.

So the easiest solution is going to be to use the Window Layout Wizard to create a new Window Layout. Before selecting a style from the drop-down box, click the "Use monitors" setting on the right and then click the "..." that appears. This will allow you to manually adjust what the new Window Layout will think of your monitors, including the names and sizes.

This is the setting you need to adjust:

Most likely the number probably needs to be 1 or 2, but it could also be 3, 4, 5, 6, etc. Trial and error is okay, to try again just do the same thing and Export and launch the team.

    Thanks Lax, it worked!

Well, I can't really test in game yet, because the login queue, but just launching the clients and watching HWMonitor, it's now showing Intel at 30% and Nvidia at 60% (99% and 0 at same stage previously).

    Cheers

Edit, I'm assuming when Blizzard fix the problem, so its auto detection works properly, it doesn't matter which DISPLAY# was set to?
Edit2, everything works fine in game.

I have the same problem and i cannot figure this out. I only have two options, one for my primary monitor and one for my secondary monitor. I should have 4 selections, one for each monitor for intel and one for each monitor for nvidia?

    I solved my problem.

    1. Open "Nvidia Control Panel"
    2. Click on "Manage 3D Settings"
    3. Set the Nvidia Graphics processor as the preferred device.
