    Default dungeon with 4 accounts

Hello community, Im a newbie in multiboxing and love it. Generally, Im more inclined to pvp and I dont team or do dungeons and play different teams with 2 characters : I have 2 mages level 59 and started a SP, level 35. By the way, my favorite duo so far is SP + BM hunt, lead by the priest. Very strong when people jump on me when questing.

I'm hesitating to open a 4th account and play tank + 2 mages + priest. I dont think my laptop could support a 5th account.

My question is : if I take my time, with only 2 DPS instead of 3 : will I be able to clean all the dungeons, progressing very slowly, not looking for the best gold/hour or definitely, I wont be able to clean some dungeons or some boss will be too hard ?

And in this configuration, which tank would you advise to me ?

    Thanks for your insights

Doubt you can do any dungeons with only 2 dps, unless those 2 dps are warriors. Best you can do tbh is warrior, warrior pala pala. That's 100% dungeon clear if you ask me or pala pala warr for 3x account for alliance.

If you play horde I would go druid warrior shaman or warrior warrior shaman for 3x or if 4 x then druid warrior warrior shaman or warrior 3x then sham.

Its going to be slow, and before you over level and gear the content, difficult. You need to keep in mind that you won't be able to play an entire team as efficiently as individual players. As for handling a 5th client, try it with a trial account, wow classic doesn't require much when you turn down the graphics settings. Check the specs of your laptop, unless its among the absolute cheapest ones available it should be fine, I 5 man boxed wotlk back in 2011? On an already old laptop

Jameskolsen, What are your laptop's specs? Are you using ISboxer?

actually, I'm using hotkeynet which I found quite easy to learn but I might try ISboxer if I go to 5 accounts.
And I guess by lowering the graphics, it seems ok for 5 accounts on my relatively recent laptop.

Yeah ISboxer should really help you as it has some settings to lower things and is just really good for boxing.

You can also use MSI Afterburner to get some really low setting as well. Some tools may only let you go down to 15-20 frames a second for background screens and IIRC I used MSI Afterburner to go down to something like 4 frames on the background clients so I could run 10 clients (anything less seemed to mess things up for me).

    How did you do it?
I tried but it limits the frames to "all" clients

I strongly recommend you use ISboxer... You can get at least a free 7 day trial and the subscription cost is less than 1/3 of a single WoW subscription and helps you get so much more out of WoW and other games...

If you are running ISboxer you can easily control both ForeGround and Background FPS settings via:

    https://isboxer.com/wiki/CPU_Strategy_Wizard

If you are not running ISboxer, there may be other ways, but I initially did it via MSI Afterburner's RivaTuner (these days I just do it via ISboxer). It may have been the case back then that either ISboxer didn't have the features for this yet (though it does now) or I just didn't know how to do it via ISboxer... I remember in the older MSI version I used back then being able to set it graphically for both ForeGround and BackGround but according to this thread these days you can set the ForeGround from the GUI but set the BackGround via a config file (either Globally or for the game's application profile):

    https://www.reddit.com/r/pathofexile/comments/dd3ou3/automatically_limiting_fps_in_background_using/

When I was exceeding the limits of my laptop I remember testing various BackGround FPS settings as low as 2-8 for my WoW clients and other games and they made huge differences on my laptop's temperatures and utilization though some were too low for things to work consistently (follow got messed up, commands were lost sometimes, etc). Different games can handle different minimums and I could be wrong but I think back then I settled in at 8 FPS for WoW but likely the appropriate thing is to try various settings to see what works best for you in your environment.

    Aw shucks.

I could 5box OK back in Vanilla->BC but kept over-heating when I tried to move up to a 10box in BC until I found the above tweaks so I know from experience it can extend your hardware to do more... Hopefully it allows you to move to a full 5box so you can do dungeons more easily.

Please report back which path(s) you went down and let us know how things go for you.
