Grind: open world or dgs

Hi guys. My team is WPMMM and are lvl 25. I got more XP with grind in hyperspawns than making SFK. So, what is the best way to farm XP in the leveling process: grind hyperspawns ir DGs??

When i do SFK i always wipe If i pull 5 mobs or more. If i pull 4 mobs or less, the XP per hour os Very low...

SFK was a difficult dungeon with the mobs that have spell shield. Top that off with the mobs that silence, making Arcane Explosion nigh impossible and I think you've got a pretty not AoE friendly instance. I did not grind any instances using AoE until I got to RFK at 28. This made it much slower, but I didn't need to drink either. I did some Hillsbrad quests in this timeline. Once you hit 28 and can do RFK efficiently it's a much better option. Also your mages will need some AoE help. Getting holy nova is pretty key in this department. Even in grinding library things just go much smoother with nova over not. Your priest will go OOM much quicker, so I recommend using 2 keybindings for AE, 1 where priest novas, 1 where the priest does nothing.

Ultimately, I found questing to be more volatile. At times it was quicker. At other times it was painful. SFK was at least consistent and I got a lot better towards the end, and I think around 25 I was starting to AoE some packs.

I'll let people that are frankly better at leveling than myself weigh in, just wanted to share my experiences.

I leveled to 60 completely through dungeons, and the only four that stood out to me, xp wise, were Scarlet Monastery, Zul'Farrak, Maraudon, and Black Rock Depths.

You get the most xp/hr by not dying. If you die more than once per instance, questing / aoe is probably going to be the better xp/hr.

If you are in a pvp server, now with phase 2, i would say dungeon levelling.

There are people on both factions running in groups in every high level zone killing people, keep in mind that everyone is rank 0 atm and a level 48 is worth almost as much honor as level 60 player

SFK was a good boosting dungeon in my experience, not a good grinding dungeon for casters.

Using Holy Nova is usually a waste of mana, if you are doing SM pulls where you can use holy nova and survive instead of spamming Flash Heal you are severely reducing your exp/h

Once you can start doing Library questing should never be faster than aoe farming, with exception being last 2 levels before you get a new rank of arcane explosion.

This is where low level mobs give too little exp and high level mobs die too slowly and you risk dying when pulling more than one group, so this is a good time to go questing and do all the good ones to level up quickly.

I think this is especially noticeable between 44 and 46, when you start doing Zul Farak, mobs there are pretty tough and it becomes so much easier with rank 5 AE at 46.

From 50 to 54 aoe grinding is really fast if you do the inner circle where the dragonkin are, they are level 49/51, you have 10 packs in just one room and they hit for way less than same level mobs in BRD, and from 54 you farm BRD until 60.

I run SFK with MMMMP until the mobs are gray. My motivation were Shadowfang (200+g - I got one) and end boss equips. At first I just run until Baron Silverlaine then reset. The ghost human mobs was a pain at first coz of silence. What I did was line up formation and the silence only happens on one or 2.
