Default A Guide To Pling With Warlocks.

It's not much of a guide, but it's a start. Will be edited a lot. Thought I would just get it out there just in case some people were in the same boat as me (mageless)

Ok, so I have really only seen Pling done with Mages up to a certain level. Being around, mid 40's or so.
Then after that, you can let the warrior take the lead or so, depending on the gear/sepc the mage and warrior has. Those are the two main classes.

Now, you can do it with other classes, but those two seem to pretty efficient at it.

Here is a Link to (Skuggomann guide for mage/warrior) Mage boostign madness. (Epic Flyers: 1/4

And another for Paladin (Vyndree, she even has a video... I found it )

I have done it with my 66 (feral) druid, all the way up to SM, but I have not tried anything past SM. While I presume it would be about the same as a warrior, only, a little bit slower.

After wishing I had a Mage to PL my toons through lower level places, it dawned on me, I have a two 70 warlocks with over 1K spell damage. So I took one of them and turned them into an 30/31/0 lock for some really nice spell damage boost/regen boost.

Here is a link for the spec 30/31/0

You could also mix it up if you want. But the reason for this build was for the bonuses you get from regen/pet damage/dot damage.
With you your pet, I use Sucabitch, ( with having my spell damge, being about 1150 or so, she does an average of 500+ damage a hit, so that is a nice little added (dot) that goes around picking off the dying mobs.

Now, for this tactic to work. You have to have your Lock with SL/Fel armor/sucabith ready.
You can use just about the same pattern as Skuggomann in the SM dungeons. But after that, I am not sure, I have not gotten there yet.

But here is what you do. Either have your pet stay in an area where she is not going to take damage or have her run around and pick things off, thats your choice, but watch her HP, she can die by pissing things off. Also, while Sl is active, she takes damage as well, she, she can die that way. And that would make your dots do less damage and may lead to your death.
So with your pet doing whatever it is she is doing. Run around Tagging mobs with (Siphon Life), then Either (Curse of Agony) Or (Corruption), Whichever of those two you prefer. I have so far used Siphon Life and CoA for my tagging and just kept running around doing it to every mob. (Using the same pattern as the Mage guide of course) And when I got low on mana I would just Life Tap myself and get it back, don't worry, about the beating from all the mobs because with the Bonuses from the pet/sl/spell damage/fel armor, you are going to be getting quite a bit of HP back, so it will regen rather quick.

I get SM (Armory) done in under 8 mins.

If I am missing something or my info is misinforming, or if you have something to add, please do

One of my favorite ways of farming on my old main (70 lock) was to use this spec:

    http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/...00000000000000

I grabbed a bunch of "of stamina" greens from the AH. got my hp up to about 16K (these greens allow very low repair bills also) your spell damage is way way low, but you are regenerating 400+ hp every few seconds with voidwalker demonic sacrifice. Just run around using seed of corruption, as the low spell damage allows more to be collected before the explosion happens. The things explode, you loot, and keep moving.

    Just another spec for thought.

I was a fully committed SM/DS lock before i started raiding pre TBC (switched to DS/Ruin) - i really used to love that health regen and imho DS was the best warlock talent in any tree pre tbc.

DS isnt too popular now since they nerfed the VW regen and you can get both dark pact & ruin , but it's good to know it can still be used as a farming build , may have to dust off my 70 lock and play around with it for old times sake

Yeah, that spec would work just as well. Only problem I found is, when you piss off a lot of mobs while running around with out the pet to take some of the damage from SL, you can die pretty quick. My lock has only 8K HP and 10K MP, she is not all that powerful, but I can run through all SM pretty darn quick, both the higher levels of SM are 12mins under. Thats with a little bit of breathing room.
