    Default new member, few questions

hello. great site! im new to dual-boxing and WoW in general, been playing a few weeks. i just came over from EQ, i held out as long as i could, lol, and have realized that 2-boxing in WoW is ALOT different than EQ. my plan is: to 2-box 2 hunters to 70, and then ill have one on each account to powerlvl other toons, as ive heard/read that hunters lvl the fastest, and im in no hurry to reach the end game. been raiding for the last 6 years in EQ and am looking forward to lvling up a couple toons. does anyone have any tips or suggestions on what i need to know about 2-boxing 2 hunters? and macro's i should use? software to download? im going to be using my desktop for one account and a laptop for the other. if playing 2 hunters is completely stupid, tell me that too, lol. really looking foward to getting into WoW, so any help is appreciated. thanks.

Hey there Valerie and welcome to the forums!

whatever you decide to do... one thing is certain... don't forget to do a 'recruit-a-friend' from your main account to your alts. this will save you 1 months fee per account.

if you choose the software route, and keyclone ends up your choice, please feel free to drop me a note anytime... i'm usually pretty good at responding quickly... unless RL or a social life (*gasp* what's that ! kill it !!) get in the way.

btw, we have an IRC channel and a vent server where people hang out (standard irc filters may be required.. especially after 10pm...)
    check the stickies for details

have a great weekend .. and welcome to multi-boxing

My mind is, play what's fun and adapt your boxing set up around that. Thanks to the changes that made the Hunter's "Dead Zone" go away, it makes boxing Hunter's much easier. Check out the macro's for assisting, sending pets, recalling pets, and rotating abilities (something useful for traps). I'm sure you've noticed that Hunter's are the semi-equivilent of a Ranger/Beastlord, but without the buffs/debuffs of either one =P.

I boxed a set of 4 Hunter's to level 11 and had a blast. Holy DPS !! Your only limitations are when you start instancing, you lack any healing. But if your only boxing 2, you'll probably group with a healer.

I would also suggest the add-ons from Fizzwidget's, such as Hunter's Helper and Feed-o-matic, which is found here: Fizzwidget's

Keyclone, Synergy, Multiplicity are some key braodcaster's you can use to send inut device (keyboard, mouse) signals to your other computer.

    Good Luck and Welcome

    some questions about keyclone

hello. ive read a few of your posts and you seem to have the 2-box thing down and was wondering if you could help me out? ive been 2-boxing EQ for a long time, but am finding it more difficult to do with WoW. here's my setup: desktop running one WoW account and a laptop running a second WoW account. im going to play 2 hunters starting out, so that should make things easier ( like having both auto-shots mapped to the same hotkey ). if you could explain what i need to get and how to set it up, that would be great. my exboyfriend use to do all my computer stuff for me, so im really clueless about computers. any help you could give me would be appreciated. thanks.
