Default Is there any way for a high-level toon to "powerlevel" low level toons?

My warrior just hit 60 and I'm thinking about adding another account or two to multibox. I was hoping that I could use my warrior to carry/powerlevel my new toons in some capacity, but it seems like this may not be possible when the level discrepancy between toons is large, is that correct?
I know that you can't group them, but I'm also hearing that even if you're ungrouped, and the lowbie toon tags a mob that is then killed by the 60 toon, the lowbie still won't receive full xp for the kill. Can anyone confirm?

    Thanks!

Farm dungeons and invite people around your alts levels.

Warriors are "ok" at boosting. Mages and Warlocks are probably the two best boosting classes by far.

The basic way to do it, is to invite your alts into group with your high level, and run dungeons. As Tsazao said, you want a full group, so invite randoms to fill the group out. The group XP you get is going to account for about 30% of the total xp you get per mob kill.

I started boosting some mages last night in deadmines at level 10, I'm using a warrior so it's not as good as a mage or lock would be. However, my level 10 mages were getting 14xp for level 18 non elites, and 36ish xp for level 18 elites. Consider that chain killing level 10's with 5 level 10 mages, was around 20-25xp per kill. Now consider that my warrior could do packs of 20ish mobs comfortably in deadmines. At level 10 with no deaths (forgot about the patrols that spawn after bosses die!) I was probably getting my mages 10-15k an hour with a warrior. A mage or warlock could easily manage much more than that. Also keep in mind, that as the mages gain levels, they are going to get more xp per kill up to around level 16 or 17. Which means the xp/hr will only increase until the mobs turn yellow.

Thanks everyone for the input! I had no idea that grouping a 60 with lowbies could still be somewhat viable just by virtue of volume alone.
Question: if the lowbs are still getting xp from the kills even when the 60 is doing the killing, is there any reason to start with the lowest level dungeons and progress through them? ie why start in deadmines rather than just run your lvl 10s to say SM and start farming that?

I don't have any higher levels for boosting right now, but have found a couple threads with some info you might find useful if you haven't seem them already.

Find some mage to boost you, I have my 4 warriors (atm 38) boosted by a mage friend for now, in ragefire he could run back to to the very end and pulled the entire dungeon, then went into iceblock, frostnova afterwards, shield, flame strike, coc, arcane explosion, whole dungeon cleared in 7 minutes (including looting which takes a while). In WC he made 3 big pulls, first room with raptors, then entire left wing with boss pulled to the entrance and then most part of the right wing until the part where you have to jump (mobs will evade if you jump over there)...took about 12 minutes per run. SFK is bad because of mobs siliencing and anti magic shield so we skipped that and went straight to kraul at 23, doing the first big room until the ramp to the boars, then the entire boar path in one pull and then the left side over the bridge and the right part where the 3 bosses are, but the mobs there are rather tricky because of the knockdown/healing totems.

Unless you play some aoe grind comp I'd say boosting is faster if the mage knows what hes doing, my mate has pretty basic fresh 60 gear with little preraid bis stuff, right now at 38 we're still doing armory runs and despite not having heals he can solo the dungeon in <20 minutes including boss kill and running out. About 20-25 mobs with iceblock pulls and 10 mobs without iceblock per pull, having 100% mana, prebarrier and mana gem ready is mandatory for every pull else you lack the damage. Having the next rank of conjured water next week will probably increase boosting speed by 10% .

Regarding your question: yes if a 60 outside your group kills the mob you had tagged, you get much less xp. However, if the 60 just heals you and does no damage on the mob you get the full xp. If the 60 is supposed to help you with killing, you get much more with the 60 in group and doing dungeons. I think the exception is if a player of the opposite faction kills the mob for you but not 100% sure. And yeah there is no big difference in xp gain from having you boosted through a dungeon where mobs are red vs yellow, it doesnt really matter its like 5-10xp...and its easier to boost in lower level dungeons so I'd stay in the appropriate level range.

Another way to level in the open world that I've discovered. It really probably will only work best at low levels.

Use a high level healer to run through a very large spawn of mobs, while self healing. The healing they will do will pull threat. Then run your aoe group in, and blow up the pack on the healer. Obviously this is dependent on mob density/spawn size. However, there are definitely places where you could leverage this. Just make sure you don't heal the low levels until after the fight, if you do, the healer goes onto the "tag" list, and nerfs the xp. As long as the healer does no damage, and only self heals, the low levels will get full XP.
