Out door grinded until lvl 14 with a quest here and there. Then did dungeons with round robin sheep/nova/cs, single target dmg until late 30's, when I could spec aoe+shatter. That's when it went a lot faster. It's probably a good idea to spec aoe sooner.
For my aoe spec I did use frostbite, which you usually don't take, because it makes it harder to keep the pack together. But with 5 mages it procs so often and you kill so fast, it's actually great.
RFC: I could go fast and kill all bosses easily with 5 mages.
WC: I just did the first boss and reset, not that fast.
RFK: I just did the lower part where the escort quest is.
SM: I could kill all bosses by using ice block on the mage that was taking damage. XP was pretty good once I specced AOE. Even though I could not do big pulls.
ZF: Did graveyard runs
Sunken Temple: I cleared the packs on the upper ring, and then reset
BRD: Killed all the packs on the left. Between Beal'Gar and the gate
LBRS: Killed all the packs at the start until the first bridge in LBRS
Not having a healer and being just 1 person controlling all mages means it's hard to do big pulls, so I did pretty small ones. I didn't go nearly as fast as good spell cleave groups, but I did go faster than the average dungeon groups.
The reason I got a decent time to 60 wasn't because I was killing fast, it was because (at least after 30) I didn't waste much time. I stopped worrying about how fast I was going. I just kept going, and didn't waste time trying to find ways to go faster. That's something I did a lot in the past and it slowed me down a lot.
