Especially your leveling route for both Alliance and Horde before entering your first dungeon.
What map to quest from level 1 - 14?
As alliance (I did this just last week)

The Dwarf starting area is a bit more kind on kill quests compared to the human areas. I found this out the hard way after it was too late. I slowly grinded on bore and bears. I found Dun to be least inhabited compared to human area. Leveled skinning and mining in the process. Then focused on killing humanoids, for the cloth. Picking areas out of the way is ideal. There is no etiquette at these levels, everyone's gotta be first. What that translates too is everyone tagging your mobs or leap frogging you on quest stuff. No one is going to wait their turn.

But picking areas off the beating path you can get a lot of trade skilling done, while level a bit slower.

When your group is young like this, it won't be as powerful as you'd hope yet. With no taunt or a way to hold aggro, you can't get too carried away.

After you feel like you've lost the will the live, hopefully your level 16 by now. This is a bit low to head in to dead mines. However, no one can harass you in there. Once your in the instance you'll just grind to the second door. You'll defeat the first boss, then once you reach the next door, that's a good place to stop and reset.

Once you hit 18 you can start farming for the ring from the goblin boss.

Once you hit 20, life is good. Now would be a good time to visit the AH and gear your tank. You can put on STA and STR rings and stuff. Which point your good to go! you should be able to farm that just fine.

If you run a tailor/enchant you'll be 150 capped on both by level 20 no problem as well.
