Greater Blessings of kings does 60 threat per person buffed. With Righteous Fury it increases to 60x1.9 per person. This is 570 aoe threat (not split) per GBoK cast on a group of 5. It's pretty good aggro for the cost of a silver.

Yea if you play with 5 paladins or even with 3 of the same class, it is pretty insane. Paladins turned out to be quite better then thought before, people figured out that paladins are a viable dps in raids if they stack spellpower gear and farm manual crowd pummelers for boss fights

With sanctuary, ret aura and consecration AE threat shouldn't really be an issue on paladins. The issue is staying alive. Paladins take a lot more damage than warriors.
Pallies too?!?!
I think it's kind of funny that once they get some block gear they can tank like a billion trash mobs because the crits they take are so small. They end up sitting on crazy high block %. Granted you'd have to convince a guild to give you that block gear too and you reallyyyyyy outgear the content at that point.

Yea, pallies can keep up with other dps if they use pummeler on boss fights, there was one guy streaming his MC raid and his dps dropped to the bottom when he forgot to equip his pummeler and used his decent blue weapon instead
Should have a really high block rate if a lot of mobs are comming and you have this equipped:

That with redoubt would be 80%+ block rate before factoring block points and other skills.
Do you know what that Paladin's build was?
If he was only Retribution he likely could switch to Ret-Reckoning so he could do his base DPS and leverage any crits on the main tank to proc Reckoning on himself via 'Blessing of Sacrifice'.
It looks like this was actually a bug in Vanilla where righteous fury was only supposed to cause threat for damaging abilities. But should they change it in Classic? It was a bug so they might change it, but it was in Vanilla so they might leave it in. Wait and see I guess.
