I am in Zf,currently near lv 46. All my pulls when having no cds are usual 4-6 mobs (The Sm cath were 5-10 in comparison). When i have arcane power ready and presence of mind, I can usually pull around 8.

Make sure to utilize nova to get em round up roughly. Tried frost, but requires too much work for too little reward. Might work in Brd for farming tho.

Full arcane is so much easier due to bit extra crit, mana.

I'm currently up to improved AE on my mages but I'm wondering whether getting improved CS for even easier pulling of ranged mobs is worth it? If not I guess ill spec into fire to help with boss single target.

I didn't go for imp cs as the mobs will always come to you if you cs them on cast. But if you feel that it will make it easier for you,then by all means go for it. For pve and pvp specc, I'll go with with imp cs 100%.
