Default Which dungeons now? Level 45 1x warrior 3x frost mage 1x priest team

    All,

Just finished the lovely grind of SM -- got from 30 to 45 in one weekend only! Unfortunately too many mobs are now grey and I'm trying to figure out where to go next.

ZF is a little tricky. I've been clearing single target to get to the graveyard and then resetting after AOEing the graveyard mobs. With resets and the occasional wipe, I'm averaging about 25-30k/hr. Much slower than armory/cath (40-55k) was before the mobs turned grey.

Any suggestions about where to go next? Keep grinding ZF? Or maybe do Uldaman? Do I just have to acknowledge that I can't brainlessly AOE massive packs anymore?

Looking for feedback from folks with experience using the same or a similar team. Thanks!

i have same team..i just got to ZF as well ( also 45 ), And I find it a bit slow as well. We get next rank of arcane explosion at 46. Im just going to slowly grind ZF for the quests and am hoping it will speed up at 46+

You say your 3xfrost mages.. do you blizzard for AoE or arcane explosion?

zf is annoying because of the caster and healer mobs...idk if you can do it but try iceblock pulls with mages to get them all stacked behind a crate or pillar (like 3 packs at a time), then bomb them and use the warrior per macro to target and IWT the healing totems (ideally with a fast 1h dagger).

So you would end up doing grave runs, playing it primarily as 3 mage priest and the warrior is just for totem killing and demo shout/tc.

What most people do, is they mount pull 2 or 3 packs at a time on their way to GY, dismount behind a piece of geometry (wall/pillar/whatever) and then blow it all up aoe when it comes around the corner. You might be slightly underleveled at 45, but it's one of those things where, you might have to suffer for a level or two, and then you're pulling in 70k/hr and warrior groups like mine are crying in their cheerios

get your mounts asap and then you can skip all the annoying totem guys and go straight to zombies/scarabs/event.
From 45 to 50 do just zombies + scarabs, then after 50 start doing event also. There is youtube vids showing how to skip with mounts. Zombies are awesome because they don't do any stupid stuff and you can pull exactly how many you can handle.

Maraudon is the sweetspot imho from 43 to 46, given that you push through the quests to finish the scepter. Just use the scepter and backtrack the turtles + elementals + oozes + dryads, then reset. Just be careful not to die and not to reset too quickly, as getting out and back in with the scepter is a significant time loss. After 46, ZF gets substantially easier due to the new Arcane Explosion rank.

Same story with Sunken Temple 51-54 after a level of Hinterlands questing and before hitting BRD which is also unnecessarily hard at 51. The troll circle (uppermost layer) in ST yields around 12k xp alone and should be doable in 8-10 minutes with ridiculously low effort.

You should be able to sustain 50k xp/h in Maraudon (after the quest/scepter run) and 50-60k in ST and BRD. 70k in LBRS if you only do orcs/trolls. All in simple 1-2 group pulls with a lot of drinking, straight forward tank and spank and no crazy skip/mass-AOE shenannigans.

    What setup/spec are you running?

I haven't been able to clear the upper layer of ST in less than 17 mins, which at 51 yields around 39k/hour. That includes walking in/out, but not rebuffing. Pretty impressed if you can get 50-60k.

Anyway, 39k/hour is still decent, so thanks for the tip
