    Default 5 man classic line-up

The goal is to be efficient with the drops from the 5/10m dungeon.

    Here's the lineup:
    -Feral druid tank (main)
-DPS 2H Warrior (plan to get him a nightfall for the magic boost)
    -Mage
    -Warlock
    -Shaman (healer)

So really what can't be utilized is the mail agi item. The healer shaman will probably be a mix of cloth/leather/mail healing items.
One drawback that I can think is no ally magic dispel since no priest. However I don't feel like stacking too many cloth classes though.

    Feedback appreciated!

I feel that optimizing your group primarly for drop utilization is ultimately a losing choice when you could optimize for other strengths instead. For instance, 1 priest 4 mage will probably run circles around this team.

yah i agree, i have only found it useful when i would plan to play them each as solo characters later on after getting geared.

    hmm question

    Warrior 2mages warlock priest
    3mages warlock priest
    4 mages priest?

if endgame goal is to farm as much gold as possible

im leaning towards warrior 2mages warlock priest for the sheer amount of utility

    portal to sell

    Summon to get back etc

No matter how you do the lineup to try to be efficient for gear there will be a ton of extra.... their are stats that lean towards specs or classes rather than just armor type. like others have said its better to optimize team for functionality and power

Suggestion. Make the Warrior Prot (plate drops are still used now) Take the druid, make it a healer. The shaman Enhancement. Why? Earth shock interrupts every 5 seconds is very powerful to have to stop NPCS healing. As a healer you'd want to conserve that mana, but has Melee he/she could go out of mana spamming away and still hit like a truck.

Remember a hunter can wear leather too, so those AGI drops wouldn't go to waste. If you drop the lock you could use those AGI leather items with a hunter. Outside of INT Plate, everything else could be used.

Due to Blizzards position on Hong Kong, money > freedom. I stopped playing.

Regarding most efficient party composition, Bruce Lee says "... Nothing trumps [4mage+disc] apart perhaps paladin/3mage/disc ..."

"... Last Thursday I made 4x mage disc and atm I am lv 53 ( last 2 days been chill mode). That should tell you the speed of leveling using that setup (5 days 4 hours played or similar atm). ..."

Warlocks can be substituted for Mages and have some pros/cons but will be somewhat slower as their AoE kicks in at later levels than Mages... I would do at least 1 Mage and 1 Warlock if this was my first team...

Personally I would go with Paladin/Priest/3ranged as it gives you a real dungeon tank for PVE if/when you need and still has good AoE as the AoE'ers avoid all push-back due to Paladin Concentration Aura. This party composition also gives you redundant healers for PVP.

I wouldn't worry about optimizing gear slots at all. Even with 5 characters all needing mail/plate I have never really had a big issue and once you get to cap are doing the same instances over and over you will at some point be getting rid of every drop anyway...

I support paladin as probably the BIS non-raid tank. The utility it brings with blessings + auras, as well as its aoe threat management (in part due to blessing of salv), just tops everything the warrior or druid is going to bring to that group, since what the warrior excels at, isn't really needed in dungeons.

Unless you want a warrior specifically, if you just want a better tank for running dungeons, I'd go with a paladin, I'd even go with a druid over a warrior I think, since a druid can generate aoe threat even better than a warrior as well, and is completely adequate for dungeon tanking.

I think the rule of thumb should be that if your healer isnt a paladin, your tank should be.

Sucks for horde but hey, at least windfury am i right? And you can totem twist if you can handle the mana drain.
