    Default 10 man teams for farming instances? ( not a PvP thred )

    it has me thinking about starting a second team on other accounts with the goal of speed farming entire lbrs. Jump runs are good, but i wonder if clearing lbrs really fast for all bosses and trash would be more GPH than jump runs?. I knew you could enter most leveling dungons with 10 people, but i never gave it much though after the nerf to exp in a raids that happened first week or so of classic. But if your just wanting to farm instances at max level for gold/shards etc. It seem like having more than 5 would make that ,much easier! looks like only lbrs is an end game dungon that can be up to 10 boxed. ( i didn't even know ubrs was considered a raid). I mean you could plow through lbrs with almost anything X10! As well as have a proper team for ubrs.

    I'm pretty sure I'm going to at least do 8..so i can do the 8 man team on one bnet. But that might be a waste, might as well make it 10 right?

    Anyone doing this now?

    I added that Levels tab for precisely those reasons (among others)... If you do activate additional accounts I would RAF yourself for the free subscription time at least...

    At a minimum you may be able to cautiously solo at least some of UBRS and otherwise plow through LBRS. When not doing BRS dungeons it could also allow you to farm 5man content yet free up your main & 4 other characters for other stuff... Certain 10box teams could also be helpful/viable for joining 40man raids (at least with other boxers and/or on content a guild has on easy farm)...

    What I would like to understand better is what approach is easier if you want a 10man team at cap...

    Is it easier to level 2 5man teams separately or is it easier, even after the nerfs, to level a 10man team by plowing through 5man content?

    I have a 60 team now..just got 60 yesterday. Im not even going to waste time farming BiS now. I will wait until the new team is high enough for lbrs. it sucks that BRD is not 10 man! But i have that down anyway..farmed the poop out of brd.

    My comp will be paly, lock and 3 more mages. ( or should i add a second healer?) If i do a second priest i will make a dwarf ( i made first one human..regret for no fear ward ) Also a second priest would have two holy novas that I think would compliment all the mages for aoe farming. Also, this second team could do some of the 5 mans with a tank/heals 3xdps as well. I've got an hour to decide hehe.. after servers are back up.. I'm all in! already activated the accounts

    What is your current 5 man team that you plan to add the Paladin+Lock+3Mages to?

    Personally I am thinking for my 2nd team of trying to brute force level a 10 box through the 5man dungeons (less XP per kill but hopefully steamroll more kills).

    I am currently planning the following team makeup for my 2nd team which would basically be adding a Mage+8Locks+Priest set of characters to my existing 3 Warriors+2Paladins (assuming I can level the 10box group easily without a non-pet tank). If the XP speed is just hideous then I will look to drop to a 5man team of either Mage+3Locks+Priest or 4Locks+Priest to try to avoid any more tanks... If I do drop to a 5man team to level and find I want a Tank then I may do Druid+3Locks+Priest or Druid+Mage+2Locks+Priest...

    I am not sure the best mbox team for LBRS/UBRS but I figured 8Pets+8Warlocks+Priest+PaladinTank would be a good start.

    If I find I need more healers I have 1 more Paladin and if I need a 3rd I could sub in a Warrior Tank for my Paladin Tank resulting in at most healing-wise:

    WarriorTank+6Warlocks+2Paladins+Priest

    Once everyone is at cap I still would have 2 more Warriors that I could sub in for Warlocks but I don't know whether that would buy me anything... I should also be able to swap a Paladin out for Mage if need be.

    If push comes to shove I will make all the locks SoulLink locks just to be a little more brute force capable... I like the idea of everyone being semi-tanky so the group can be less susceptible to insta-gibbs & thus I don't need to have twitch reactions... At least for now I am only viewing the Mage as free water/food/ports & someone I sub in if I have issues with Curses...

    Alternatively I could go mage heavy or a mix but I kinda want try all of 1 class to be able to maximize the AoE threat of Greater Blessing of Kings in testing/practice...

    Seeing what 4 mages can do from Bruce Lee, i was thinking more mages=more mass aoe death! also, damn good single target burndowns as well. My current 60 team is war/preist/3xmages. so will have 5 mages and a lock for dps. I always wanted a paly..so the paly will be the tank for group 2 and a second priest will be fear ward and more aoe healing/dps. 2 priests might not be ideal though. when they are all 60..ill make one of the tanks dps/off tank.

    I just want this second team to be capable of clearing all the end game 5 mans the traditional way. and even though a second priest might not be the best choice for a 10 man comp.. i like the fear ward and for this second team as a 5 man.. i just like the aoe heals and holy nova. ..also.. i been wanting to try the pulling with eye of zomm method of aoe grinding!

    Yeah his videos are amazing and 7-8 Mages feeding an ignite stack are pretty compelling.

    Actually Warlocks can put out very strong AoE as well and if built right with GBoS their Threat may not be that bad...

    Personally I have been bouncing back and forth in my head on the following groups for PVE:

    PaladinTank+8Warlocks+Priest (& 8 pets)
    PaldadinTank+8Mages+Priest
    PaladinTank+8Mages+PaladinHealer;
    PaladinTank+7Mages+ShadowPriest(off healer)+Paladin Healer;

    The thing is that I really want to be able to test AoE Threat of Greater Blessing of Kings (BGoK) from a Paladin tank on as many targets as possible while being able to keep Greater Blessing of Salvation (BGoS) on the DPS. With only 1 Paladin in the party that pushes me to Warlocks as the single Paladin Tank can put/keep GBoS on the Warlocks and still spam GBoK on the 8 pets (assuming any phased Imps get the GB when any other pet get the blessing). If I go Mages then I really need 2 Paladins and am a little worried about those party compositions... Personally I prefer to try to just power though fights with tanky party than finess and I don't like having to respond quickly if my DPS get targeted... I also like that Warlocks can provide some off-tanks as well.

    The following are some thoughts on Warlocks (from Peregrine)...

    The following are some thoughts on Mages (also from Peregrine)...

    Actually that whole darn thread is great on 10man team composition with lots of great input from many folk including Peregrine, Apathiest, Mercbeast, etc...

    My biggest priority is 10man PVE for the team though I do worry that I will regret not having at least 2 Priests if I go with Paladin+Priest+8X...

    I am currently running a 10 man group. I have two identical 5 man teams consisting of 1 Prot Pally, 2 Arcane Mages, and 2 Holy Nova Priests. It's much slower leveling in dungeons as a full raid... the exp is about 1/4 what I get running each group alone... I think the fastest way to level two 5 man teams is to just alternate them.. level one team while the other gets some rested exp and then switch back and forth...

    What levels are your teams?

    Personally I would be more inclined to level 1 team to cap if I didn't already have a main at 60.

    if you had a team at 60 would you just play the next team alone in dungons or use some sort of tag boosting? Right now im running them around with my 60 priest and 60 mage so i can port/rez them and get flight paths and do fedex quests..easy kill quests. But i think as soon as they can kill first boss in DM.. ill start the dungon grind on them...might take them out and try the tagging thing when that becomes viable.
