Default Sheeping in Dungeons with Multiple Mages

    Hey Everyone,

Here is how I am doing it-

    https://youtu.be/45iYv8L2Yrs

Is there a better way anyone has found yet? As you can see in my video it does the job but gets pretty sloppy. After practicing with it a bit more in the instance I got better but its still not great especially for resheeps.

    Thoughts? Ideas?

    Cheers

I would do a /assist round robin to initially select the targets so you don't have to click on other screens, then do the target last target macro to resheep like you did.

this video shows the round robin example

I remember someone here a few years ago using raid icons built into the macros to assign sheep.

So assign raid markers on main, make the slaves have target their own individual raid icon, then sheep.

That functionality doesn’t exist anymore as far as I know, it went the way of click macros and smart heal
macros, you used to be able to target unit frames by modifiers back in vannila, same way as you could use decursive or spam a macro that would heal anyone below 70% hp with a lower rank heal, and below 50% with a max rank heal all while not actually having to pick someone. The macro would just search for the person closest to you with low Hp

I've had good experiences not using direct assist for my target. So basically this is how I do:

    1) All spells are targetted using [target=party1target] - for example /cast [target=party1target] Fireball
    2) Target (on mages) is used only for poly, so I basically just assign poly using current target and I'll assign the target manually (I have F1 setup to select mage 1 target, F2 setup to select mage 2 target)
    3) Then you can just use /cast polymorph to CC

For my mage, i target the intended mob, then cast polymorph. After about 1sec i switch to my dps target and start dps after 1 sec. if i switch target too fast, sometimes the mages would dps the sheeped mob unintentionally. Its not the best way though, but with frost mages the mobs take sometime to reach you. I also use the targetlastarget macro to recast polymorph if it breaks.

pretty sure he is alluding to spellcleave, which is a vastly more effective way of clearing things.
