    Default New Dualboxer - Resolution Issues

    Greetings Brand new to dual-boxing, have been playing WoW for ages and always wanted to try this so here I go
    Anywho I have everything working correctly, keyclone works great and such.. My only problem is when the WoWs start from keyclone they automatically reset to 800X600 resolution for both screens when my usual screen using 1 WoW is 1920X1200
    I have Dual-Screened before without Keyclone just using Maximizer with the left WoW being these margins: 180,180,0,960 (T,B,L,R) and the right one being 180,180,960,0 (T,B,L,R) splitting my screen exactly how I wanted it using my normal resolution so I could go back to 1 full screen and not have to move anything. This worked great but now using keyclone it automatically sets both screens to 800X600 moving all my frames, buttons, bars, etc. around and off the screen on both screens and such.
    Note: I'm using a 24" wide screen monitor btw if that helps with anything.

    Could anyone help possibly?

    when you get it below a certain size, wow will force the resolution to 800x600... even though the actual dimensions of the window could be 500x450 (just tried this)

    keyclone set the dimensions to the size of the maximizer region... but wow, upon start up, changes it if it doesn't like it.

    try to keep to some multiple of the standard dimensions and your aspect ratio should be fine

    Yeah I'm just going to play the screens in 800x600 instead of arguing with it heh. I'm thinking that if I just make another WoW copy folder for a 1screen and then load that 1 only for 1screen when I'm not dual-boxing it should stay at it's resolution and not be affected by the other 2 WoWs used for the 2boxing?

    I find i have to occasionally redo my maximiser settings as the screens seem to "shrink".

    e.g. a week ago my default bars would stretch to the sizes of the windows meaning the images of the dragons either side (like your screen above) were forced off screen (which was fine its how i wanted it) but now when i fire it up the UI has reset and the actionbars are smaller.

    Not an issue really, only takes a minute to redo it and if i remember this time i'll nab a copy of the ini file and replace it if it buggers up again. Anyway, no biggy, keyclone is ace and i appreicate your work a lot. Will be interesting if multiboxing in WAR takes off and you can port it across to that also.

    ok I am confused now... my 380x300 seem fine but then I guess it is rather close to half of 800x600 (760x600)

    yes... it's a resolution number, not the size of the screen. so, when wow loads, i imagine they do some form of calculation and determine which resolution might be best for the dimensions you choose.

    800x600 == 1.333
    1024x768 == 1.3333
    1600x1200 == 1.333

    1280x1024 == 1.25
    380x300 == 1.2666 <------

    1920X1200 == 1.6

    i would imagine if i noodled with the sizes and made something 480 x 300 (1.6) .. it should remain 1920x1200 resolution... but i wonder if wow jumps to 800x600 for the size, at which point, wow's aspect ratio calculation would be off (i'm at work.. i cannot check... if someone else could, that'd be interesting)
