Ranged teams (4-5 shamans, 4 warlocks/priest) are superior in large scale wPvP assuming you know how to position so you're not on the front line being focused.
How does Paladin Healer+4 WarLocks compare with Priest+4 Warlocks in large-scale World PVP?

At first glance both can give buffs (+Paladin Aura) and the Paladin should be less a less burstable Healer due to Plate, cleanse, & bubble(s) & LoH but a shadow Priest is decently tanky and should boost at least the shadow damage of the WarLocks... While both can heal the Priest can AoE heal and can switch to ranged DPS when healing isn't really an issue so those are both big nods to the Priest...

I suspect that Priest is better overall but curious if Paladin is a decent 2nd option with 4 Warlocks for large scale WPVP?

As long as it is at least viable I will want to consider swapping a Paladin for a Priest as my main will be a Paladin and I want to get him as high a WPVP ranking as possible...

If it would help my Paladin's ranking I could only use my 3 Warriors+2 Paladins for small-to-mid size WPVP and for large-scale PVP switch to 3 Warlocks+2 Paladins (or 4 Warlocks+1 Paladin) PVP Rankings if that is better than just going solo Paladin in Large Scale WPVP.

Main problem with paladins is PvE. You can't heal fast enough on a paladin to sustain 4 voidwalkers taking damage as well as 4 warlocks channeling hellfire.

1/2 Paladins could heal fine in PvP though you don't have a lot of the mobile healing tools priests do and a single paladin is pretty easy to spell lock out of the holy tree. That's why I always prefer 2.

Also, the way soulstone and spirit of redemption work together is pretty OP. If they focus your priest you just keep reapplying soulstones and you get 10 seconds of free, uninterruptable healing every time you die.

Very thorough insight and greatly appreciated.

If I finishing taking a 4Warlock+Priest team to cap with my 3Warriors+2Paladins I will be able to mix/match the healers spec capable character as all 3 are on separate accounts so I could for example do 1Paladin+1Priest+3Warlocks as well for WPVP. In the end I want to what is best for getting my Paladin Main the higher/better WPVP rankings so even fine with him going solo/duo healer in large scale WPVP if more helpful.
