Dusted of my 5x 17's (pally, priest, 3 mages) after getting tired of Faerlina. I went into the Deadmines with all whites and pulled one mob at a time up to the first boss, then resetting. On the second try, I pulled the first boss and barely beat him, then wiped on the paths that spawn behind you. I reset, equipped some new greens, and made it all the way to the level 19's in the Goblin room. After wiping a few times I figured this was my limit. So I did the instance over and over a few times, equipping better gear before each run. The runs got faster and faster, each time, and now I could do it in about 10 minutes.

I'm 28 and working on grinding BFDs to get to 30 for SM Graveyard. Gold has been good, I think I have 25 on my main and 10-20 on all the other toons, and I will only need to buy 4 mounts. I've spent a lot of time leveling professions and going back to training new spells. Probably could be 30-32 if I hardcore no lifed it, but it's fun to run class quests, train spells, etc.

Getting about 6-8k XP per hour.

That all sounds pretty systematic & good! I pretty much just farmed outside the instance until 20+. Congrats!

Finally got around to starting up a team on Atiesh-Horde. Doing Warrior (tank) Priest (healer) and Shaman/Warlock/Hunter for dps. Randomly ran into Kojiiko in the starting area .

I couldnt make a level since sunday. So yesterday i finally dinged 31 and ran to SM GY with my team of Warrior, 3 Mages and Priest.
First run went super smooth. Will do some more today. And since I can only play today and Sunday I hope to be 33-34 by the end of this weekend.

Has anyone any success with 4 Warriors and a Sham-Healer or is this group only viable with some decent gear later on?

TY. I know you've been asking me to roll on Herod, but for my own reasons I decided on Faerlina. I had to switch because, well let's just say that server's not for me. I went back to my original server Deviate-Delight. I figured out I'm not a "Large" server kind of guy. Anyway maybe I'll make a few characters there on the future.

When/if I do a Horde team one team I have thought about is 4 Warrior+Shaman. That being said I have done 3Warriors+2Paladins into the 20s and have some lessons learned am interested in folks feedback on 4Warriors+Shaman.

With shamans not getting healing totem until Level 20 and not getting Chain Heal until Level 40+ I am curious how they have found having a single Shaman healer was with 4 Warriors before then.

Personally I found it best for my Warrior group to wait to go into the Deadmines until Level 20 and ideally would wait until 22+ for attempting full clears. Overall I found 3 Warriors pretty strong except for when I faced 2 or more of the AoE caster mobs (like Defias Evokers) and really needed to step back and get my Shield Bashing rotation down to get through those.

One thing I noticed is there have been many times I have been grateful that I have 2 Healers as even trying to be careful on pulls I have had many times where the incoming damage seemed too much for a single healer to keep my team up. Even when the spike damage was manageable from a single healer there have been several fights where I would have gone Out of Mana (OOM) on a single healer. I mitigated this some by setting up rank 1 'Holy Light's until I got 'Flash of Light' at level 20 and taking turns healing from one healer so the other can leverage the 5 second mana regen rule also seemed to help. I also added some mana pots for both for boss fights. It should get much better once I have full Illumination talents at level 29 and even better when I get 'Seal of Light' at 30 but I have to get to to Level 29/30 first and am concerned that it would have been much more frustrating to get there with a single healer...

Note that I have these healing concerns even running 1 Warrior as my "Lead" and making sure he was running 1H+Shield and had the best armor and mostly in Defensive stance pushing AoE aggro so that damage was mostly focused into the most mitigated spot on my team (though all of my team is in mail with shields when needed).

Bottom line is that I am interested in what other people running Warriors have felt regarding healing, especially if they only have 1 healer... Eventually at cap once my Warriors are fully geared I anticipate that I swap one Healer for a 4th Warrior but up to this point so far I am glad I have had 2 Healers.

Warriors are kind of painful until 36. I'm running 4x warriors + 1 priest. It was unbelievably slow going instance grinding until 36. I started with dead mines as well, at 18, and I basically just farmed the first two bosses until level 20 or 21. Then I did some full clears for the quests. I did stockades to 27 then moved to gnomer until 31, and then did SM GY until 35, Library until 38, armory until 42 (to get 4x ravagers, it took me like 35 full clears to get 4 ravager drops), Cathedral until 44.

The big issue is you just don't have the cleave that mages and warlocks do until 36, and even then, it's not a terrific amount of cleave. Mostly even now pulling more than ~6 mobs is pretty pointless because my bread and butter aoe abilities only hit a max of 4 targets, or 2.

(edit) I will say, once horde has wind fury totem, their warrior groups would be noticeably better than alliance, for obvious reasons.

Like I said, it was incredibly slow, and it only picked up around level 40, where I was able to maintain 35kish xp per run (real xp per hour probably closer to 30k, due to running out etc). To give context, my /played at level 28 was 4 days 9 hours I think, and the fastest hunter I solo mob grinded to 60 back in 2005 was around 4 days 12 hours. Now, granted, a not insignificant portion of my time on this group was basically jumping up and down to avoid going into a 20k queue
