I went alliance, regret it, I was completely unaware that alliance has no level equivalent dungeon to RFC in vanilla! Overall I've probably had "good" luck. I got all 5 characters into the game about 3 hours after launch. Good news. Bad news is my old setups from 2011 which I haven't MB'd since didn't want to work. So I spent a few hours getting set back up. Just as I got things to decent level, 1 character crashed when I logged out at an inn to relaunch the team to fix character names in the team. Into the queue. Oh, I'm on herod. So 25k queue. Then the entire server is disconnected. I lose 2 more characters as I was unable to get them logged back in quickly enough. Good news, my first crash victim went from like 25k in queue, to about 13k, and my other two reconnects about 15k. So I duo'd 2 warriors (team is 4 war x 1 priest) to level 8 in a couple hours while the rest of my team got through the queue.

Rest of the team got in around midnight pacific? I was paranoid about leaving the two level 8's alone and just jumping them while trioing (didn't want to get reported or a GM to bump them off for being standing around, likelihood like 0, but hey I didn't want to be at the back of a 20k+ queue just in case ! :P ). The 5 man questing has been brutally slow. Layering hasn't really benefited the 5 box as much as it is benefiting lone/duo questers. Never enough mobs to satisfy the kill speed we're capable of. My lack of 1-15 alliance knowledge is also killing me for grinding potential. I've only really ever leveled up as alliance solo grinding 1x, back in 2005, and I did not remember any of it. Had I gone horde, I know exactly what spawns I would have just grinded my levels out on, with almost zero questing. Anyways, I'm sitting in queue right now, 800ish in queue, level 18, about to dip my toes into deadmines, after an abortive attempt at 15 with mostly grey gear . Once I can start grinding the dungeons, the speed will pick up, I could have risked a run to WC to get started at 15, but, it's a pvp server, and I was pretty convinced I'd end up corpse camped if I got caught out in the Barrens.

5 undead warlocks at level 15

It's been great, I can Cannibalize the same mob, !Shoot macro works great, Voids can tank pretty well

The downside is being called bot every 5min, sometimes its funny because everyone turns around and keep looking at you

First time playing classic and enjoying so far ^^

My team is Druid, Priest, Mage, Warlock, Warlock playing horde on Firemaw EU. Currently lvl 18.

Enjoying the game, been lvling professions a lot.
    153 skinning, 115 enchanting. 75 Tailoring. 100 Leatherworking. 131 Herbalism, 97 Mining.
    114 Cooking, 91 Fishing.

Did RFC when 2 characters was lvl 14 and 3 was lvl 13. Very smooth run but took maybe 40 min.
Did RFC again at lvl 17. Took ~15 min to kill the 2 bosses that drops loot. I would get ~10k xp per hour if I did that nonstop if I managed to run out and sell in ~5 min. (I think xp from normal melee cleave was estimated at 19k per hour at lvl 15, so I am far behind those numbers but still ok xp)
Although I am too lazy to grind dungeons nonstop...

Not so great. Got my team of 4 war 1 sham to 13. Tried to do RFC but quickly realizing my plan to drive from the shaman isnt going to work out. I am unable to maintain aggro while driving from the healer. I made some macros for the warriors to taunt individually but target assisting has a network delay. I am very curious how people are able to maintain aggro while driving from the healer. Any tips?

Currently I am planning on switching my setup to drive from a warrior and have keys/macros to heal or just scrap multi boxing all together. It would really suck to scrap it though. I have so much time invested.

I am driving from one Warrior with the other's assisting and really like it more than playing on the healer.

Just like in that video that Relaxeswbear linked I am healing from my lead warrior via a VFX window to my healer's healing addon (I was using healbot but switched to Vuhdu).

Also consider leveling up to 15 before going back in just to make it smoother before going back in.

I wish you the best of luck. I think things should get better for you.

I was thinking to level 3x warlocks 1x priest and 1x mage (Maybe ones I hit 60 on my Shamans)
I picked up 5x elemental shamans, level 12 1/2 the Q times after work are 2.5 hours.

I can't really level up faster. Shamans are pretty great so far, 1 shot the mobs starting with LTG bolt/EarthShock. I picked up all the professions, Skin, Herb, Mine. I enjoy the Game so far!

I am currently switching to drive from the warrior. It is better. I am questioning if its worth it to multibox at all though.

Currently level 15 with 24 hours played. War/Priest/Mage/Lock/Shammy.

Biggest surprises. Collect quests are easy. I use ISBoxer...set loot to free for all then just drive from all 5 toons finishing the quest 5 times. The dirty secret of Vanilla is that nobody likes the collection wuests, so those areas are usually empty. But there never was enough kill/travel auests to get to 60 so you just end up grinding anyway. Also, IWT is a blast. The damn class quests at 10 took forever...I’m looking at you fire totem. Wasted so much time sitting in a circle with others trying to tag Boss mobs for quests. Just broke down and made a /tar macro that i just switch for every quest like that. Really pisses people off, especially in the Undead area where all the emo teenagers play.

You Took me probably 15 hours to get to 10. Was seriously the most painful leveling experience...not because of MBing but trying to tag mobs for quests was just crazy. Olus the mobs were all erratic...instant respaws, stupid long leashes, and then mobs just running from nowwhere to chase me. I died a lot in caves like skull cave where the respawns were just absurd.

Rolled into RFC and ate a bunch of humble pie. Can’t hold aggro for shit on my warrior. Am I supposed to stance dance? I went with a two hander but think I’m going to go full prot with sword and board. Think I need to simplify things up. I have each key mapped to all 5 toons. Need to break it down to 5 keys for warrior, basic dps for casters and a few CC spells. My one problem I foresee is CCing multiple mobs. Might just make another target macro specific to each dungeon for sheeping. Kind of regret not bringing 3 mages just to simplify, but I really wanted the Lock for pvp and the Shammy seemed interesting to multibox because of totems and utility. I’m finding it might be too much.

now I’m hoping to get the hang of just grinding dungeons to 60. How do you folks do it? Do you just have a few basic spells bound? Or do you make intricate binding where you press one button and your tank does one thing, healer another, and dps something different?

I finally defeated the first boss in the Log In Dungeon.

Then my wife said it was bed time.

    I wiped.
