I know this was a thing at somepoint, but I don't know if it exists in Classic.

That ability may be the thing for me to decide on a spell team vs a warrior cleave team (or a 4/5 shaman team). While the warrior team would be faster inside the dungeon and small rest periods, the ability to quickly sell/repair and get back I think is a much bigger time saver in the long run.
Good questions and my memory is that you cannot summon into the dungeon and thus would need to step out to summon. If you step out on a PVP server you could be attacked...

With the above in mind my plan was to invest in the max number of good bags on my team and keep a disenchanter in my main all melee party to lessen the need to go back to town... I had planned on doing my utmost to get my bags as empty as possible before grinding sessions so I would likely invest in bank slots on my main group as well and carry the bare minimum when heading out to grind...

That being said I don't remember if that 2 minute hearth trick works in Classic or not and it would be good to know if it does... If it does work I will still go at least heavy melee with mainly Warriors + Paladin(s) but could see some increased value for a Warlock (maybe mix a little spell/melee)... Maybe still start with 3+2 but instead of going from 3+2 -> 4+1 I may go 3+1+1.
