It may be a lazy way to level if you have more than five accounts, but everyone seems to be saying that XP, while in a raid group, is abysmal, so I'm not sure how fast it'd be.

Of course, anyone is welcome to try it out now that it's been changed.

Raid grinding is my actual preferred way to level in any MMO where it is remotely viable. I don't think it is going to be very viable in WoW, because the key to raid grinding is to pull enormous numbers of mobs. For example, the fastest way to level in DaoC for a long time, was to raid grind with pet pulling. Send pets out, pull 30-40 mobs, and have a 30 man raid just mow them down as quickly as possible. It was similar in SWTOR as well, raid grinding in elite areas.

The issue is, WoW doesn't really have anything that can support pulls of this size/frequency so, the xp per kill is never compensated by the size of the pulls. Instance lockouts will also be a huge problem. That said, if you could get around the lockout timers, it might actually be worth 10 manning instances, just because, while it would probably be quite a bit slower than just 5 boxing them, doing 10 at once might be faster than doing 5 at once twice.

I agree, someone should try it

When it goes live we can get to 5 boxers together somewhere to test a 10 man RFC/Deadmines. Looking forward to some of these questions getting answered. Just a few more days.
