If you can send Lax a request and he approves I am OK with <IsBoxers> (assuming we don't have much pushback from prospective members). Feel free to let Lax know that I would be happy to enforce whatever behavioral norms/restrictions he wants (I am also Nodoze on those forums if I recall correctly).
The others are likely fine options as well though personally I like <The Guard> or <Guard> or <The Garrison> or <Garrison> or <Regiment> because if we turn out in force in WPVP it will literally look like we pulled everyone out of the "Garrison" and the Regiment just rolled into the field of battle... I don't really care that much either way but that was the thought behind those names...
Unfortunately <Twelve Inches Unbuffed> is likely out. I got temporary banned for that a long time ago in Vanilla (or early BC) and then once they lifted the ban they GM changed the guild name to something like <I like flowers> (or something like that). <Unbuffed> would likely be OK if a lot of people want that but for Alliance I like the first ones.
EDIT: Just had another idea:
<Wearing Boxers>
We may however not want to go out of our way to emphasize boxers or multiboxing. We can ask MiRai or others for their input.

i got a 5 team on alliance herod too. i have another 5 accounts that i might resub in the future. im looking into doing progression raiding, shouldnt be too hard considering the fights are a lot less movement heavy then on retail.
Great!
Please submit your team info via one of the following links:

After you submit your team please save the 'Edit your response' link you get at the end of submission.
If you click on that link it will open the submission up and you save it in your browser as a bookmark. That should allow you to come back and make changes yourself later. If you lose that link and want to make changes let me know and I can try to manually make them for you...

I'm on Whitemane but looks like both Whitemane and Herod have been flagged as likely to have issues as launch:
https://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/wo...-realms/253658
and they made another east coast pvp server:
https://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/wo...g-today/253667
2,3,5 boxing wow with Wow Open Box and MAMA, give them a try!
(was 8 Boxing Wow with HotKeyNet and ISBoxer)
Was streaming on twitch.tv/MooreaTv
Thanks. It looks like EU English also got another server.
I think Herod may be overinflated unless all the streamers decided to actually move over to Herod...
I say that because it seemed like most of the streamers raced to get their names on Faerlina per their original plans and then, after they got their names on their main server, they went ahead and came on Herod as well to get what names they could but not necessarily to actually use Herod as their main server.
Even if they do come and there are some queues at first it should die down & I am thinking long term it will be best to be on the busiest server as it should have a great economy for boxers as we can not be contested while we are farming instances and our proceeds should have a lot of demand.
No I am on Herod and trying to get a fun multi-boxing community going in both factions and ideally to some degree across factions (with me on the Alliance side)...
Actually because we want to be farming the same things is exactly the reason you want to be with more multiboxers (especially organized multi-boxers that are willing to work together)...
Each of our own 5man teams will be farming in our own private dungeon instances so it isn't like we are actually competing for drops or anything. No one can steal your resource nodes or drops in your dungeon instance (or a Raid instance) even on a PVP server... Yes proceeds from your farming will compete with multi-boxers in the supply/demand market place but server populations can be huge and multi-boxers will likely be a small % of the overall supply and demand on a healthy large population server... That being said it also works both ways as other multi-boxers are likely to be among the richest people on the server and could well be your biggest customers...
For example World drops are totally RNG and other multi-boxers are going to be some of the few people who will be able to pay top price for any goods/drops you have... For awhile gold will be scarce and, for example, an all melee team would likely gladly trade rare/epic caster world drops with an all caster team that got a melee world drop... Multiboxers are more likely to have items like that to trade with/for and/or other mats/goods in large quantities if gold is at a premium...
There are multiple areas that require more than 5 characters to farm/complete (there are 10 man, 20 man, & 40 man areas)... Other multiboxers who are organized and friendly are more likely to be willing to do trial and error with you to jointly get access to those areas (thus it is only a win/win). Those 5boxers who are not willing to work with others will be capped at 5man gear/proceeds (OMG I can't believe I am saying this but "we are stronger together" ;-).
Just because Herod multiboxers are the most vocal doesn't mean that there won't be multiboxers on Faerlina. You will still have competition from Boxers on Faerlina but if current trends continue you are much less likely to get "co-opetition" like we may well have on Herod.
The difference is that at least so far Herod has at least a few 'altruistic servant' personality types (in both factions) that have shown a willingness to help multiboxers of both factions as well as help organize and provide leadership in their own factions.
Herod could well end up with trustworthy good-natured leadership in both Factions who are "Frenemys" who could help organize things like:
- - WPVP battles; If we find that one side is overbalanced we could choose to self limit down to 50 vs 50 or whatever...
- - Ganging up on Griefers of the other faction and or ostracizing them in your own faction;
- - If one Horde group is getting something a Horde Multiboxer wants then maybe the entire force of Alliance Multiboxers could coincidentally show up and wipe the non-multibox Hordes but somehow not engage very well on the multibox Horde. Then maybe something like that happens later when the Alliance multi-boxers want access to something that is being monopolized by a horde... Maybe they take turns monopolizing it (duo-opoly).
- Setting up WPVP games like "king of the hill" with 50 Warlocks or Shaman on top of the hill...
- Etc... The sky is the limit if people are creative and work to try to make things fun.
Bottom-line is that Faerlina is also marked as FULL just like Herod... Both will likely have some pain at first but both should be highly populated servers in the long run... Both servers will have multiboxers... The difference is so far only Herod in the Americas has anyone stepping out to try to organize anything on either faction (and so far happens to have folk in both factions trying to get something going)...
Faerlina is also where the majority of Streamers said they were going which likely means more drama, greifing, & stream-sniping (though maybe some good things too if you like streamers).

Well an active community on Herod is appealing, and that's where my main team will probably be. I do think about how fun it would be to unleash an all stealth team on a few "streamers" I have in mind tho. That's the main reason why I would like to join Faerlina.
I still have my desired names reservered on both Faerlina & Grobbulus. Maybe I and others will do a pet project like that for fun also. That being said I do have a lot going on iRL so maybe not... Also, though it may be fun in the short term, it may not be a good idea for a shit ton of Multi-boxers to go after a high visibility streamer...
