    Default Americas Alliance Server - PVP

    It would be great if multiboxers could have the option to team up and or fight each other.

    Do any Alliance multii-boxers who plan to play on on the Americas servers have any insights on which PVP server would be ideal to pick?

    If I understand the options correctly the choices are:

    Name Type Time Zone
    Faerlina PvP Eastern
    Fairbanks PvP Pacific
    Herod PvP Eastern
    Thalnos PvP Eastern
    Whitemane PvP Pacific
    Grobbulus RP-PvP Pacific

    Since I am Central time zone based I guess either of the above Time Zone options would work OK for me though I suspect the Pacific Time Zone would allow the greatest number of people to play together as people can't realistically get off work earlier but can choose to stay up / start later.

    Regarding PVP vs RP-PVP, there was some discussion in an EU thread that an RP-PVP server attracts a more mature and/or mellow group of people.

    It sounds like some Horde teams are planning on going on the Herod server (which is an Eastern Time Zone based PVP server).

    Alliance Pvp - Eastern for me. Hopefully I find a nice active guild. I'm multiboxing a 5 man and raiding/pvp a paladin at endgame. I'd prefer a multibox guild, or at least multibox friendly.

    To try to help I put down some team composition thoughts for you in your '3 mages or 2 mages 1 priest for dps team' thread. Was real tired last night while typing (so sorry if my comments didn't make sense) but my main concerns were that you really need 2 healers in World PVP (or at least a viable off-healer) and that you can't switch specs very often in Vanilla/Classic. The only 2 classes that I remember having a single spec that could do multiple roles were Paladins (being able to switch between main healer and dungeon tank (but not raid tank)) and Druids being able to have one spec that can do most roles semi-decently (if you swap full gear sets). Those were the main points I was trying to make (& I don't know if there is a single Shadow-Priest DPS spec that can easily drop to be a main-healer or at least be a strong off-healer). The other concern area was that I wasn't sure mixing melee and magic DPS made the most sense compared to other options for multi-boxing so I wanted to give you some other ideas to consider.

    Personally I am in the Central Time Zone and most of my friends & family are Central with a few Pacific so I was hoping to see momentum on a Pacific PVP server as people on both Eastern and Central can play on Pacific time if the Pacific groups start between 5-6pm Pacific but many Pacific groups cannot play on Eastern if it starts before 5-6pm Pacific.

    So far the only Americas server that I have been seen multiboxers stake a definitive decision on is the Eastern PVP Herod server but unfortunately all those groups so far are Horde... I was thinking of making a Horde group there for some fun World PVP Chain Lighting & healing craziness and making my Alliance group on a different Pacific PVP server but maybe it would be best to just commit to one faction.

    What do you think about going Alliance on the Americas' Herod server which is PvP Eastern but also where most of the Americas Horde Multiboxers seem to be going?

    Like you I plan to main raid and do BattleGrounds (BGs) on a Paladin at end game and my 5man group is mainly to feed my Paladin main gear & gold via Dungeons. Secondary goal is having a strong melee BG option for my sick brother but odds are he won't play that much and he will pretty much only do BGs or World PVP. Tietieary goals are having a WSG Flag runner and stealth group option (so I am going 1 Druid+2 Warriors+2Paladin as my initial 5 man group to cap with those goals in mind). Bottom line for me is that I only really need to solo or duo in BGs or WPVP...

    My main concern is that Chain Lighting and Chain Heals are just OP for boxing so Multibox Alliance vs Multibox Horde would be pretty imbalanced (in strong favor of the Horde). With that in mind I was thinking of having a 2nd horde shaman team later for WPVP with the Horde Multiboxers but if we go Alliance on Herod our accounts are locked out from Horde on Herod.

    Historically I ran up to a 10man team (mostly Shaman) back in BC/WoTLK so I could maybe re-enable my 6-10 accounts so I could still do it but really don't want to go more than 5...

    Anyway, what are your thoughts about rolling Alliance on Herod and locking ourselves out of Horde on Herod?

    Alternatively we could do Alliance teams on Faerlina or Thalnos (both also Eastern PVP) and focus on our Paladin mains there and then have the option for a mostly Shaman 5man team on Herod for some WPVP Multiboxing craziness later once our mains are where we want them.

    I'd recommend staying away from Thalnos unless you're fluent in Spanish. Seems that's where most of the South American country players are going.
    Interested in the worlds largest multiboxer guild for Classic WoW?

    Have you found something showing where different factions and/or nationalities are going?

    At this point I was planning on saving my 5 character names on 3 different PVP servers. If Thalnos is a bad idea I could instead do one Pacific and 2 Eastern (or the RP-PVP server).

    I was planning on reserving them on Herod just in case so really I only have 2 other slots available.

    I’m taking 10-15 accounts to Alliance on Herod so I’d be open to participating in some multi multi boxing activities with anyone else who winds up over there, Horde chain lightning will be irrelevant against the power of the pally bubble, because aren’t we all going to exclusively 5-box those?

    I’m not personally up for actually administering a real guild, but if nobody else makes one I’ll create a placeholder guild for all the alt cause I know I won’t stuff them all in the main guild my pals are making.

    im actually most worried about multiboxing through the starting queues, by the time I’m logged in it might be time to log out!

    Sounds good. Though I love Paladins I have 10boxed Shaman and no character can survive a direct hit from them so a pre-emptive bubble is the only option and that doesn't help for very long.

    At this point I am planning on reserving my desired 5 names on 3 servers as follows:

    • -Herod (PVP Eastern),
    • -Grobbulus (RP-PvP Pacific), and a
    • -3rd TBD server (not sure between Faerlina, Fairbanks, Whitemane or some other server).

    If you get a chance please use the Q&A format in post 3 to post your team composition to the end of Team list thread. A link to the 3rd Post is here:

    I am planning on trying to reserve:

    • Faerlina;

    If Alliance Americas I recommend trying to get Herod.

    It is a pain but keep at it and it will eventually work.

    I got decent names that I can live with reserved on Herod and also on Ferlina and Grobbulus.

    On Herod the the planned name for the Horde Multiboxing guild is <Overload>.

    When we can I plan to form an Alliance Multiboxing Guild on Herod and looking for name recommendations. So far I the best name options I have come up with are:

    <Guard> or <The Guard>
    <Garrison> or <The Garrison>
    <Regiment>
    <I See Dead People>
    <I See Dead People Soon> or <IS DPS> or <IC DPS> or <ICDPS>
    <Throng> or <The Throng>
    <Alpha Wave>
    <2nd Platoon>
    <3rd Detachment>
    <The Brigade>
    <Resistance is Futile> or <RIF>
    <Twelve Inches Unbuffed> or <Unbuffed>

    Feedback on the above &/or new ideas appreciated.

    I only care about joining a good guild, so it's gonna be Herod for alliance huh?

    Yes Herod.

    It looks like there is a good sized group of Horde Multiboxers on Herod as well.
