    Thanks for the post/link.

Maybe it's just the more vocal players, but jeez louise reading those comments makes WoW players sound like a bunch of sniffling, whiny, know-it-alls. And people wonder why I want to box.

Who's playing US on Hord? I'll be looking to join a Multibox guild, so I'm flexible on realm type.

Probably gonna try Pagle or Mankrik, though I dunno. I'm predicting that this won't be enough servers to meet the demand and they'll add more. I was gonna say I might just pick whichever server isn't showing "FULL" or "HIGH" in the population column but I suspect they will all be full/high. I'll be happily surprised if that isn't the case.

I would prefer a normal server on Pacific time. But would join any server to be with other boxers.

Other than the obvious time difference on the server itself when using the /time command, the main difference between the two timezones will likely be:

Pacific will be hosted in the Los Angeles datacenter.
Eastern will be hosted in the Chicago datacenter.

While that's not necessarily true for the current Retail server list due to the repeated consolidation of datacenters over the years, I would bet money that they're keeping it simple for Classic. So, if latency matters to you, then choose accordingly, but I guess we won't know for 100% until the servers are actually up for early name reservations.
Do not send me a PM if what you want to talk about isn't absolutely private.
Ask your questions on the forum where others can also benefit from the information.

Traditionally it seems to me that servers in the Pacific Time Zone would allow the greatest number of people to play together as people can't realistically get off work earlier but can choose to stay up / start later.

For example Raids starting at 5:30pm PST (7:30 Central or 8:30 Eastern) or 6pm PST would likely be able to accommodate the largest cross section of Americas players.

    choices choices

    Fairbanks PvP Pacific
    Whitemane PvP Pacific
    Grobbulus RP-PvP Pacific

it's one of these 3 for me - or I should say, 2 of these 3, 1 for allies and 1 for hordes
wondering if RP-PvP is ok for mboxing (family of 5, quintuplets, group of friends... backstory)
I suspect the RP-PvP will be very Ally biased... not sure what to roll to make it interesting there (go with the flow, alliance, or have lots of alliances to kill/farm and go horde on that server?)
