Default Multiboxing guild - Herod - NA PvP Eastern

I'm starting a guild for classic for multiboxers (and normal people as well of course) with the intent of end game raiding. 5 man dungeons can only give so much of that challenge and I'm sure we all have the itch to really test ourselves. So I figured a 40 man raid with a bunch of boxers will give us that challenge. <Overload> guild is NA based on a PvP server raiding on an Eastern timezone schedule (6pm-11pm). Specific days and start times to be determined by guild.

Come hangout with myself and few other multiboxers that are really wanting to put our skills to the test in top end raids!

    <Overload>
Server: Herod - NA PvP Eastern
    Faction: Horde
Raid Time: 6pm-11pm EST (days and star/end times TBD)

Will you be actively recruiting in game or more casual?

I'll be starting out solo hoping to raid, and not multibox proper until I've been solo at end game for awhile. I'm also deaf, guilds willing to take me raiding are hard to find.

We'll be actively recruiting. Without a doubt there will be some bosses for multiboxers that are near impossible (like Thaddius) so having regular people for a raid is a must. Definitely want to fully fill a raid roster.
And I don't see being deaf as an issue so long as you know all the fights and do your research beforehand. Most common communication for boss fights is "Don't stand in the fire" and "DISPELL ME QUICK"

    We'd love to have you.

    Zal,

It seems like going Eastern locks out people who can't get on till 5pm or later Pacific.

Did you consider being on a Pacific server like Fairbanks,Whitemane, or Grobbulus and trying to include Pacific players who can start between 5-6 pm PST ?

Pacific time wasn't even a consideration for me since I work early mornings. Many of us Eastern timezone players are unable to stay up super late due to jobs/families so I created the guild with express purpose of recruiting Eastern timezone players. If a guild is created with the intent of recruiting all time zones everyone will be inconvenienced whether it people unable to stay up late or other unable to get home for work. So I simply decided on a focus group so everyone joining has a clear time table and isn't surprised by any times.

That said, PST players are of course allowed in the guild but I'm not specifically targeting them for recruitment. If a ton of PST players do end up joining and one of them is willing to be an officer and lead a secondary raid time slot, that would be awesome!

Hopefully you're able to join us!

Yeah totally understand and frankly with 5 kids and a sick brother (we are all central) earlier is better for me/us as well. My work start time is flexible so I could do later if it helps others but wouldn't be ideal for me. I guess I have been trying to accommodate the largest group of people and should maybe just focus on the time zone that works best for me. That being said your point about having a group being able to play later allows an Eastern server to be able to support Pacific and could work as well (I hadn't thought of it that way).

For anyone still thinking about a server and/or guild. I'll be having a meeting with the people who have shown interest in joining on discord Friday (8/16) at 9pm EST to discuss guild structure, loot rules, and raiding.
Those interested are welcome to join in and listen/discuss with everyone as well.

Based on name reservations so far, the Herod realm is looking to be massively overpopulated. If all existing players on this server remain there, login queues in excess of 10,000 players are a certainty, and possibly much higher than that.

We recently opened up the Stalagg realm, and we urge players on Herod to consider moving there. There are a lot of players currently on Herod and we want Stalagg to fill up before we open any new PvP realms. This is so that player population is spread as evenly as possible before launch, in order to provide the best play experience.

While we are able to fit several times more players on a single realm in 2019 than was the case in 2006, we are not going to raise that cap any further, even though we have the technical capacity to do so. Raising realm caps would simply forestall the problem, letting more players in at launch but creating an unsustainable situation down the line, with severe queues when we turn off layering permanently before Phase 2 of our content unlock plan.
Please also note that our realm population estimates of Low, Medium, High, and Full are based on this increased capacity – a Medium realm today already has more characters on it than even the most crowded realms did back in 2006.

Our top priority in planning for WoW Classic’s launch has been ensuring that we are laying the groundwork for strong realm communities that will endure over the months and years to follow, which is why we’re cautiously opening new servers to meet demand.
I really want to join a realm with with other multiboxers, and join a horde clan, but I don't know that I'll be able to stomach crazy long queues.
