Best pure "gold farming" comp/content?

I am interested in the answer to this also and whether it is really possible to efficiently boost a group from level 1 to 35+ with a high level main (like a capped level 60 main) of any class.

Since I'm on Horde, I'm thinking on Druids, coz I want to make them all Tailoring/Alchemy for passive gold income (Mooncloth + Arcanite) and to craft Mooncloth you need to access a Moonwell + Mail to send after. On Horde only Druids have easy access to that (Moonglade Portal + Hearthstone) without losing access to the bank to also use them as Bank Alts.

Back in the day my buddy would run all the way to the final boss of an instance and the drag the whole dungeon to the entrance where I would wait and then he'd kill them all.

Was that the best boosting method? I wonder if it still works.
