Default How to deal with Hunter dead zone in a mixed group?

    Hi all,

I'm fairly new to 5 boxing. I intend to run a mixed group with a hunter in it. In retail this is not an issue as there is no deadzone.

In classic, how do you keep hunters from running to melee range?

    Thanks in advance!

The same way you keep any ranged class from being in melee range: Break follow.
Do not send me a PM if what you want to talk about isn't absolutely private.

Like we've been talking about for years. Lots of ways to do it. Adding a movement key to your "IWT" key, tapping back when engaging, making sure you separate your mechanics by ATG, and etc. A quick search here on "hunter break follow melee" will probably give you a ton of good research to do.

I got very frustrated by it when boxing a hunter on a private server even after having the ranged/healers break follow and stay back... mostly when the tank would lose threat and the mobs would run up to the ranged and healers into the hunter dead zone... with practice and use of additional movement keys it is possible to reposition or you can tank better and not lose aggro
