    Default Laptop for 5 x Multiboxing WoW Classic - 1080p 60 fps

I don’t see a lot of information out there that is current or specifically regarding 5 x Multiboxing WoW on a laptop so I felt I would make a post.

    Goal:
I am looking to Multibox a 5 client party during WoW Classic, and would like to do so on a Laptop for numerous personal/work related reasons.
I would like to be able to play WoW Classic at:
Primary Client : 1080p, high settings, 60 FPS
Slave Clients: 1080p, low settings, 30 FPS
    Budget:
I am flexible in my budget. I want to spend less if possible, but I will adjust to what is necessary to meet my goals.
    Caveats:
I also value aesthetics and slim clean design pretty heavily. I do not like gamer aesthetic laptops and lean more toward thin and light, non RGB aesthetics.

    Budget Contenders:
    Asus GA502 - $1200 – AMD Ryzen 3750H, GTX 1660 Ti Max Q, 16 GB Ram
    https://www.amazon.com/ASUS-GA502DU-...gateway&sr=8-1

    Probable Choices:
Asus Scar Strix ii - $1700 - i7-8750H, Full Mobile RTX 2070, 16 GB Ram
    https://www.amazon.com/ASUS-GeForce-...gateway&sr=8-3
MSI GS65 - $1800 – i7-8750H, Full Mobile RTX 2060, 16 GB Ram (Thinner than Scar Strix ii)
    https://www.amazon.com/MSI-GS65-Stea...gateway&sr=8-3
    Razer Blade 15 - $1900 - i7-8750H, RTX 2060 Max Q, 16 GB Ram
    https://www.amazon.com/Razer-Blade-G...-1-spons&psc=1

    Should I Spare no expense?
    MSI GS75 - $2750 – i7-8750H, RTX 2080 Max Q, 32 GB Ram
    https://www.amazon.com/MSI-GS75-Stea...gateway&sr=8-3

I guess the question is, how Much Ram and CPU power will I really need to 5 man Multibox Classic WoW.

    Thanks in advance!

As long as they keep supporting dx11legacy and you switch off AA on the slaves then probably you can get 60fps with i7, 16GB and RTX 2060.

But of course it's all going to be smoother with the MSI GS75

I'm traveling a lot for work and multiboxing while on the road.

I bought asus 502vs few years ago for that. Couple of things I would recommend.
    - for GPU nvidia 1070 and anything better is enough (i'm six boxing while on road, 8 boxing when home)
    - I'd recommend getting 32G memory. 16 can be done, but it gets easily tight - and once you run our of RAM - like you open chrome, performance drops a lot. Also personally I feel memory was cheaper to buy than spending a lot of time optimizing memory usage.
    - Once you are over the threshold with GPU, it seems to be the CPU (and memory) that limits how many clients you can run, what happens on major cities with bunch of people. For me I see CPU close to 100% (and if cooling is not good --> cpu throttles and trouble starts) - i was getting disconnects with some clients when this happened.

Mine has 4 core CPU, now 6 cores and even 8 cores are available, but it can get expensive.

You can get a lot of mileage from optimizing your settings, addons, renderscales etc. But it's effort.

Also test the keyboard, I hated mine on laptop, and ended up travelling with external keyboard
