PvE-only 5 Boxing?

I've got 3 high end computers, and I'm tempted to pick up 2 more, and try my hand at 5boxing, specifically, I want to be able to do almost all of the heroic 5 man instances eventually.

I'd like to keep the class types simple, so I'm leaning towards 1+4. Can you really do 1 priest + 5 warlock, and still do the 5 mans, or will you need to have some kind of tank?

No, Need tank, and even if you have the perfect group, you will NEVER be able to do ALL the heroic instances. Maybe not ever, unless you hit 80 and go back and do level 70 heroics...

Heroics are going to be tough. I have not leveled to that point yet so my first hand information is limited. However I do see 1 and 2 shotting of cloth classes in videos. That does not mean you cannot come up with creative ways to do them - kiting, etc. But it certainly will not be a cake walk.

5 boxing is tough as it is. I am still out on how viable my teams will be - I anticipate the warlocks will have much more success than the mages. But both could completely fail no matter what I do due to the class mix.

I tend to hope that is not the case but we will see. 5 cloths in heroics.. not the first choice and lets leave it at that for now.

Um...Shadow Labs second boss, it's already hard normal group, impossible 5 boxing, Heroics? Yuh...not happening.

The people saying it's impossible are wrong.

They are scripted fights, and it's entirely possible to create your own scripts to beat them. X-Keys ftw.

ive been able to take the first boss mech heroic, first boss sl heroic, 1st and second boss arc heroic, and some other assorted lower lvl heroic bosses but i would say youd need a well geared prot tank for most of not all of these

im using prot warr/prot pally holy priesy and 3 mages atm might try to mix in a lock soon

Just me saying it's impossible to do ALL heroic instances 5 boxing. You can get away with some if not most of the heroic instances, just not all. It ain't happening until level cap is raised to 80 and you come back a kicking arse with 10 levels on the bosses.

yeah thats right, some heroics are basically way too hard to 5-box, like heroic ramparts demon boss, I think it is almost impossible to do
