If you had to choose one of the below combos for classic, which would be your pick? Any experience with any of these?

    War/Shm?
    War/Shm/Lock for always available dungeons?
    War/Shm/Mage?
    War/Priest/Lock?
    Dru/Priest/Lock?

I don’t have any long term experience, but I have played dozens of combos up to the mid teens on both BFA and private servers to get an idea of what classic pairings might be like. I found it easier to play 2 characters than 3. If 3, I’d go for a full 5 and buy ISBoxer.

Warrior/Sham driving from the warrior works pretty well.
Druid priest lock works pretty well when they’re all in caster form, and gives you the flexibility to have a tank later.

My first two toons to 60 in classic were lock/lock. Then I did mage/priest (very painful in comparison). After classic I generally leveled up pairs where one of them was a lock: lock/druid, lock/priest, etc.

If you want a pocket healer for your warrior, war/shm is good.

If you're thinking about a group of 3 with tank/healer/dps you might as well go tank/healer/3xDPS. Other than the money and some setup time, it's no more difficult to run and then you can do dungeons. My current 5-man group is paladin(tank), druid(healer), mage, lock, hunter. It's actually easier than my first group of war/priest/3xmage.
