Treating myself for classic.

So for classic release i decided to gift myself a new computer.
This would be mainly for running my 5 man team on high quality, I know this will be good enough for running my game. But Im far from an expert on hardware so would like some pointers on the build I'm thinking about and what I should change or can improve.

Board: Gigabyte Z390 M gaming

Cpu: Intel i9-9900K, 3.6 GHz 8 Cores

CPU cooler: NZXT Kraken X62 CFM CPU cooler

Ram: Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 32 GB DDR4-3600

GPU: MSI GeForce RTX 2080 Ti VENTUS 11G

SSD: Samsung 970 Pro 512 GB SSD (mayby opting to upgrade to 1TB)
Hard drive: Seagate BarraCuda 4 TB Hard Drive
Supply: Corsair TXM Gold 850W

If you haven't committed to the parts just yet, or aren't overlay attached to Intel, then in less than four days we're going to see how well AMD's 12C/24T 3900X performs against the 9900K.

Otherwise, the parts listed above should definitely be more than enough for 5-boxing Classic.

Thanks for the advice think I will change to AMD.
Both the 9900K and 3900X are priced the same where I live. After some reviews I think I would profit more from the 4 core advantage for multiboxing. Now i just need to decide if its worth spending the extra money on the X570 or sticking with the X470 board. Im a bit afraid that that small fan is going to break and make a lot of noise.

Understandably so - I'm in the same situation. Waiting for some motherboard reviews to come out, but leaning towards X470 at the moment.

Though I'm not techy enough to know if memory speeds are as good on X470 as on X570 or if that even matters in terms of performance.

Just FYI on the X470 vs X570:

I've setup my own system now and figured I'd provide my input.
MSI x570 Pro Carbon Wifi with 3900X. Meshify C case with two Noctua NF-A14 fans on the intake and one Noctua A12X25 fan in the back of the case (outtake). Additionally I have a Noctua NH-D15 cooler with 1 fan active. CPU, intake and outtake fans are running at 40%.
At the above settings, the chipset fan is inaudible when running - as in I can't hear it over the system fans at all - and in general my system is pretty quiet.
CPU temps around 50-55 degrees (C) at normal workload, system temps at 40, chipset at 60. When stress testing (prime95 + furmark), chipset temps are pretty stable around 62-66 degrees as well, so the fan doesn't ramp up. Also, the chipset fan profile can be setup in bios / dragon center.
Overall I'd conclude that as far as the chipset fan goes, it's a non-issue on the MSI X570 Carbon Pro Wifi. Most of the time it's not even running, and when it does, I can't hear it. But of course there's still the issue of the eventual failure of the fan, but I'm not too worried about that.

i have gone for the 3900x too and must say I am totally impressed.

Old setup was an i4-4590 with a GTX 1060 card and 32 Gb ram.

New one is MSI x570-a Pro MB, RTX 2070, with nvmw drive and 32 GB ram..

In the old setup I could run main at setting 7 and slaves at 1 in wow.. But I still have hangups when flying.. And forget flying i Borales. That would have been a total lagfeast.

New setup is main at setting 10 and slaves at setting 7. And flying works like a charm. THink I could up the slaves to 10 too but 10/7/7/7/7 is fine with me

All cores is being used and rarely does any hit max and I "only" use 6 of the 8 GB ram on the graphicscard.. And as a bonus the new pc is quieter than the old one.
