    Default multiboxing on different instances

    so, "hi"

i am trying to figure something out, i am in a way need guidance except a solution (solution would be awesome ofc )

So i have 2 wow accounts, one is main (BFA) other is plain (Legion) i am basically farming old raids and dungeons for transmog/gold etc (mainly highmaul for personal gold to use/tokens). The thing is that usual or generic solutions cannot apply to my way since my "main" and "slaves" are not in same instances, they cannot see each other, they cannot follow nor assist.

Since these are instances and scripted, almost no random stuff happens (and mostly they are low level raids) they are figuratively persistent and does not require immediate actions, but i am thinking on "how".

do you think a simple "broadcast all keys" and a "/targetenemy /cast overpowered lvl110/120 skill" macro be enough (i will mainly use hunters so they will also have pets to attack) or shall i broadcast mouse too for a smoother experience? or do you have any other solutions/suggestions?

p.s. please forgive me if this is wrong type of thread/section but i read the rules and this seemed appropriate to me

It's a lot easier with an AoE class or one that does not need to face the mobs to hit them. Also hunter pets can rob you of loot if you don't tag all the mobs before the pet nukes them. I mean, it oughta work OK but there are a lot better classes to do it.

As for key vs mouse movement, keys are easier as mouse movement gets out of sync over time. You'll still have to "align" your toons back up after you turn a corner or somehow end up facing the wrong direction but it shouldn't be too big of a deal in the lowbie dungeons.

in bfa hunter pets kills are lootable (as "aggressive" doesn't exist unlike classic where if you don't hit a mob you won't get loot)

That has not been my experience, but maybe I'm just misremembering.

maybe I don't get your point but for OP, who is talking about BfA/Legion hunters

    a) your pet won't attack anything by default unless you make it (assist)
    b) if somehow you put your pet in defensive and it is the one aggroing, I just tested that (it's hard with scaling to get a mob to attack your pet and your pet to solo it, I had to heal it but I didn't do anything else)

both case you get loot (if there is any) even if the hunter itself did 0 dmg

Hmm...well, I just tested that in the classic beta and even if I get hit and heal the pet, if I do not actually attack, I get no loot. Admittedly, I haven't tried it in BofA lately.

Sure as I said in my first message "unlike classic" so yes in classic if your pet kills something by itself you get no loot (it's because there is "aggressive" mode in vanilla/classic so you could leave your pet and come back 3 minutes later with a mountain of loot, if they didn't disable loot for pet only kills; but that's not possible in Legion/BfA (no aggressive mode) - admittedly maybe you could sit exactly in the path of a mob and let your pet kill it, not much gold/hour there)
