Questions concerning shamans etc

I did a 5 Shaman group for BC and WoTLK and it was a lot of fun (especially for PVP with Chain Lightning and Chain Healing). I did take them in some instances with some success but I think we had things like Earth Shield that Classic does not... Even with Earth Shield I remember things being tougher as I got to the more challenging content and I swapped in a Tank...

I would consider at least adding a Druid to your group as that opens up a real tank option for you and should make things much smoother. In PVP you can have the druid be your stealth scout and either run interference as a Bear or join your group as a caster adding a buff and DoTs & HoTs. You could also use your Druid as a single client to join some stealth groups of other players for an alternative experience. In BattleGrounds you will only be able to really use 1 character anyway and the Druid would give you a top notch WSG Flag Runner option and some alternative play instead of being forced to only play Shaman. In AV and AB your Druid could join a stealth group that focuses on capturing Nodes &/or Grave Yards... Just so flexible and opens up lots of options for you.

Alternatively you could do the 5 Shaman group now and level the Druid later as druids are one of the fastest classes to level (or do a team of druids or a mix of other classes in the 2nd group).
