Default Stress test findings so far

    As shama

Not boxed as other account not live yet.
Expected bottleneck in horde start area. Literally took me about 30mins to tag a boar.

2 quests both bad for bottlenecking. Cant tag the named scorpion so large huddle around spawn.

Played for two hours. Got xp in the end from

    grinding
    disccovery,

As a l1 shammy I left the start area and went to the lvl 5 scorpians, at l2 could take in l6 scorps and boars. L6 boars dont coiunt for stsrting quest.

Ideally you could get boar kill quest with box set if ‘turrets’, or have a insta caster/hinter jn team to tag spawns.

some boxers jn game tacking flack already for just waiting for scorpian waiting for spawn.

I will probably take my team and explore/grind xp for the first few days for faster leveling, then return for desired quest paths etc.

Instances look best for full team boxes from what I can see. The quest xp in crowded zones is too low to merit the time required to tag.

Hopefully blizz can address this with increased spawn times or allow ‘tagging’ of mobs for bottleneck quests.

I know, I can hear it now, but its classic. Well at 1 boar per 30mins competing against new players constantly loading in with insta cast/shoot abilities you are reminded that not all things classic were a good thing.

Kinda makes you want to mske 5 locks

Little did the players know that this was all about testing their stress levels.

I kept having crashes so couldn't do a Census+ scan but with a buddy we tested out some of our plans. (I was on the earlier Stress tests so had half baked ideas)

Phasing helped a lot. I logged into different zones and the Tauren stayed the emptiest. As my last Census showed. If you log in and just sit in that phase for about an hour or two. All the players level out of the starting zone but still fill the phase you are in. I found making a few different characters every 15 minutes let me choose what phase to be in.

I learned I cant meet in Bloodhoof Village at 8 but must do it at 3. The bottlenecks to the horde with Exploration and Fedex quests will help me escape the starting zone by only doing the Belt and head quest together on all my toons skipping the other bottle necked kill quests. Then quickly moving to bloodhoof village. I found even when Mulgore was very busy the wide open space let me kill mobs and Never go Idle. If It got busy afking for 20 minutes (seriously just go eat a pizza) left my layer full but players then moved out of my zone.

I was watching Swifty multibox took him about an hour and a half to set it up (sounds fine to me) but he couldn't find mobs to kill in the higher level zone. He made gnomes which are the second busiest zones on the Alliance side. He was level 4 in about 4 hours. That should convince anyone that Fedex and Exploration will be much faster on Alliance side then just killing higher level mobs. He could not find any mobs. More people after this test are realizing the Exploration Meme is not a joke.

This 100%. After my experience yesterday, I totally plan on doing an exploration route to 4 or so. I started playing 2 hours after the stress test realms went live, I had to reactivate my other 4 accounts first and set up my isboxer which took me roughly 1.5-2 hours (I’m still fairly new to the program and still don’t know how to make the interact with target work on alt-z, ended up making ‘1’ my interact with target key in the meantime). I made 2 troll shamans with 3 troll warriors. Fighting over boars was no use, it took me a very long time to complete, I regret doing it and I probably won’t do it on launch unless I get lucky with my layer or they change the spawn rates or amount of people per layer. Sarkoth, cactus apples lazy peons, and thazrils pick we’re all quite easy though. I found going out of valley of trials level one to fight the level 5-6 was very ineffective however, they only yielded 1-2 more exp than a level 1 mob and took far longer to take down. Once I was out of the starting zone which I left at level 4 I found it much easier to level up. I went from 4-6 purely grinding mobs around durotar and it took me 20 mins per level and made 40s in that time just from censoring meat and gray items. I found 3 chests in that time period and got a silver bar, a few potions and a bunch of worthless junk (no greens). I saw a TON of herbs and mining nodes I wish I would have picked it up. Also early skinning and tailor for bags would be nice. All in all it was fun and can’t wait to do more testing when I get out of work in an hour.

Ran a 5 team comp for stress test

    NE
    1 Warrior
    3 Hunter
    1 Druid

Starting zone was killer, after 2 went to kill level 5 and 6 mobs. At 3 was able to kill level 7 mobs.

Spawning seems wonky, either everything spawns or its empty. Seems there isnt a spawn timer on mobs based on when they die. Feels like they wait for all mobs to die to start the spawn timer. Hope this gets corrected.

Get level 2 and get out and go kill higher level mobs and grind till newbie area clears then go back and do quests.

Over all team is level 11 and was killing level 19 mobs. Wasn't running any addons was doing a lot manually and through macros. Good comp so far, battle res could be good not sure yet. Debating on whether or not to swap Priest for Druid.

My experience so far (two-boxing) has been really really good. Completely fresh setup with IS-boxer, out of the box works so well with Classic (starting keymaps etc) and EMA-Classic which also works really well in Classic. Did 2 Human characters, 3 bottlenecks, 7 hours to get past them all but I did spend time fiddling with add-ons/isboxer setup/Stormwind.

-Classic atmosphere with people instantly grouping with you to do named boss mob quests is great
-I need more add-on! Only got Questie! and Luna(sorta) working
-haven't wrote a dps macro since MoP (thanks to GnomeSequencer) so still haven't fully grasped 'Classic's version of the macroing system.

Looking very optimistic for go-live, so much so I'm really re-considering going to 5-man (but maybe break it up for first 20 levels).

It's the exact same as Retail.

I have a fairly similar experience with 5x Hunters in the Orc starting zone. I gave up after the boar quest and at level 2 just ran outside and was killing level 5-7 scorpids and boars. I went and ran up to Razor Hill and Org, then at ~level 5 I started doing some quests in Razor Hill. At level 6, I went back and finished up the Valley of Trials quests. If you go up top by the named scorpid, the regular scorpids and cactus apples will pop regularly. Took a while but got it done. The rest was cake after that. Everything died in about 2-3 auto-shot volleys plus maybe one raptor strike if it's a +5. I didn't even train any hunter skills until level 7.

I skipped the crab, tiger, and raptor collection quests in Sen'jin but did the rest (Zalazane, trolls, centaur maps) and then went to Razor hill. Did all of those I could and killed Fizzule (level 12) at level 8 with ease.

I went to bed at about 3:30AM CST at level 9.4ish and making very good progress once I got out of the starter valley.

No issues with ISBoxer so far, and most of my other addons (MonkeyQuest and Questie are highly recommended if you're going the quest route) have been working fine; I can post a list if anyone's interested.

I figure it's gonna be on like Donkey Kong once I get 5x pets as everything up to about +3 dies in Arcane Shot, auto shot, auto shot (basically two volleys). I'll probably push to 15 to see how it goes. I'm guessing tonight is the last night of it.
