Can resto shammies take a hit?

I am def driving from Shammies, but thought I would throw in nova and some ground totems in the fray.

You could do that but magma/nova totem are quite expensive to cast and mobs tend to kill them. Guess it depends how you're doing for mana. There's no healing weapon buff in vanilla so you could always just equip a decent staff or 2H hammer with windfury for "free" DPS between heals as long as the mobs aren't cleaving.
